Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeta Gundam

HG 1/144 HGUC RMS-106 Hi-Zack
Bandai
$13.00The RMS-106 Hizack (aka Hi-Zack) is a mass-production general-purpose mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It was based on the MS-06 Zaku II series and was used by EFF groups, including the Titans, during the Gryps War. A mass-produced mobile suit developed at Granada with help from Anaheim Electronics, which absorbed the Zeonic Company which was once the major mobile suit developer for the Principality of Zeon. While the Hizack's external appearance resembles that of Zeon's famous Zaku II, it was a vast improvement over the older mobile suit. The Hizack's design incorporated both Earth Federation and Zeon technologies, with the latter contributing to it having the same high operating reliability and ease of production as the Zaku II. Data from the MS-06F2 Zaku II F2 Type was also referenced during development. The Hizack is outfitted with a titanium alloy ceramic composite armor and has a higher output generator than that of a Zaku. It is also faster and more agile than its predecessors and is easy to pilot. The Hizack is most often equipped with a 120mm machine gun kai, beam saber, or heat hawk. It sometimes uses a beam rifle, but due to its low generator output, it can only carry one beam weapon at a time. The Hizack can also be equipped with missile pods. Although the Titans were assigned to wipe out the remnants of Zeon forces, their Hizack uses a similar dark green color scheme. Meanwhile, the regular Earth Federation Forces used a dark blue color for their units.

HG 1/144 HGUC RX-104FF Penelope
Bandai
$80.00The RX-104FF Penelope (RX-104FF ペーネロペー?) is a mobile suit that appears in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway movie . It was piloted by Lane Aim of the Earth Federation Forces' Circe Unit . In U.C. 0105, in response to Mafty's anti-Federation activities and assassinations of Federation bureaucrats, the Circe Unit was ordered to capture and destroy the members of Mafty. Hathaway's Ξ Gundam and Lane's Penelope, two Gundam-type mobile suits, confronted each other on Earth . The RX-104FF Penelope was a mode where the RX-104 Odysseus Gundam was equipped with the FF (Fixed Flight) unit. It was classified as a fifth-generation MS alongside the RX-105 Ξ Gundam, which was developed around the same time. The MS was unique due to its capability to achieve independent flight and was considered to be an MS that would greatly change the course of mobile suit operations under gravity. These functions largely depended on the FF Unit, while the Ξ Gundam had a different structure that integrated all of the functions into a single MS. In addition to the FF unit, it was said that an optional armament known as the Argos Unit was developed but its details were unknown. It was also said to be equipped with a Psycommu or Quasi-Psycommu unit. The MS was also capable of supersonic flight by deploying a Beam Barrier in its direction of movement, but this required the MS to transform into its Flight Form .

HG 1/144 HGUC RX-105 Xi Gundam
Bandai
$71.00The RX-105 Ξ Gundam, also known as the Xi Gundam (Ξクスィー ガンダム Kusī Gundam?, "Ksi Gundam") , is a mobile suit that appears in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway movie. Procured by the Anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty for the attack on the Adelaide conference , it was piloted by Mafty Navue Erin .It and the RX-104FF Penelope were classified as fifth-generation MS and are said to have been developed and constructed by Anaheim Electronics. It was a unique MS with a built-in Minovsky Flight Unit and was equipped with the latest Beam Barrier system. Since the Penelope relied on optional units to obtain similar functions, it can be said that the Xi Gundam was a truly completed fifth-generation MS that could function independently. Furthermore, it was armed with standard equipment such as a Beam Rifle and Shield, as well as Funnel Missiles that made it a unique, heavily armed unit. The large arms were also one of its iconic external features and the forearms also functioned as containers for Triple Missiles. The Xi Gundam was an MS of an extremely high degree of perfection which fought against the Penelope and the Circe Unit with Hathaway Noa as its pilot .

HG 1/144 HGUC RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (AEUG)
Bandai
$20.00The RX-178 Gundam Mk-II is a mobile suit introduced in the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It is a successor of the famous RX-78-2 Gundam that served in the One Year War. A direct descendant of the RX-78-2 Gundam developed by the Titans, the Gundam Mk-II is the first mobile suit to utilize the new movable frame concept. In this new concept, rather than merely serving as a structural framework, the movable frame incorporates all the mobile suit's vital mechanisms, including the actuators and control systems required for movement, and excludes the mobile suit's weapons, armor, and propellant tanks. This approach dramatically improves the mobile suit's responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency, as well as making it far more agile than traditional designs.Another characteristic of the Gundam Mk-II is that some of its legs' movable parts are exposed and this design feature is based on the prevailing idea at that time that avoiding being hit by the enemy is the preferable choice. The origin for this idea is because no existing armor can fully protect against beam weaponry, thus it is better to increase the mobile suit's mobility by weight reduction rather than equip more armor which would lead to a higher weight and lower mobility. The mobile suit also has what had become the standard 360-degree panoramic screen and linear seat fitted in a circular cockpit that also functions as an escape pod. The multiple panels of the panoramic screen make up a single 360-degree display, covering the entire inner surface of the cockpit. The image displayed on this screen is a computer simulation constructed from the cameras distributed around the mobile suit's exterior. The viewpoint is that of the mobile suit's head, and the image is carefully edited to remove the mobile suit itself. The linear seat is suspended in the center of the cockpit, supported by a linear arm which electromagnetically counters G-forces and impact shocks in order to protect the pilot. Together, the panoramic screen and the linear seat gives the pilot a larger field of view and eliminates blind spots. The most notable flaw of the Gundam Mk-II is that it is armored using the obsolete titanium alloy ceramic composite. Another flaw is that the movable frame's leg sections have rigidity issues associated with the strength of the structural material used, and this problem persisted even after six design revisions. Despite this, for a brief time period, the Gundam Mk-II's movable frame makes it one of the most agile mobile suits available. Three Gundam Mk-II were produced in total. They were later stolen by the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) and given a new paint scheme. Despite being used by two different factions, the Gundam Mk-II's weaponry remains mostly unchanged. Its only fixed weapons are two beam sabers, but it can carry a vulcan pod, a shield, a beam rifle, a hyper bazooka and a clay bazooka if necessary.

HG 1/144 HGUC RX-178+FXA-05D Super Gundam
Bandai
$25.00The RX-178+FXA-05D Super Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Piloted by Emma Sheen, it is the combination of the FXA-05D G-Defenser and the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II. To increase the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II's combat capabilities to match those of the Titans' transformable mobile suits, Anaheim Electronics developed the FXA-05D G-Defenser support fighter, which can dock and power up the Gundam Mk-II. This combined form is technically known as the 'Mk-II Defenser', but is more commonly called the Super Gundam due to its performance. The Super Gundam is only formed after the G-Defenser and Mk-II are launched. During the docking process, the entire G-Defenser first docks with the Mk-II, forming the G-Flyer mode which is a high-speed, long distance travelling form that has the same level of acceleration as a transformable mobile suit. The G-Defenser's cockpit capsule then detaches, leaving the support craft's body attached to the Mk-II, completing the formation of the Super Gundam. The Super Gundam improves the Mk-II's mobility by roughly 20% thanks to G-Defenser's powerful thrusters, and the G-Defenser's armament units become movable shields to protect the mobile suit. The Mk-II also gains the use of the G-Defenser's powerful long rifle and missile pods while retaining several of its own armaments. However, the Mk-II's shield must be discarded to allow space for the docking procedure.

HG 1/144 TMF/A-803 LaGowe
Bandai
$17.00The TMF/A-803 LaGOWE is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. In C.E. 71, ZAFT learned that the OMNI Enforcer possessed mobile suits of its own following the Battle of Heliopolis. In response, they began modifying the existing TMF/A-802 BuCUE for anti-mobile suit combat while simultaneously developing a high-performance successor unit. The result was the TMF/A-803 LaGOWE, which was developed based on the TMF/A-802 P-Mod.W BuCUE Waltfeld Custom Type. The LaGOWE maintained the BuCUE's ability to transform between a quadrupedal mode and a cruising mode. Unlike its predecessor, however, the LaGOWE was designed with close combat and anti-mobile suit combat in mind. It was equipped with an enlarged head-mounted sensor array that allowed better intelligence gathering, a twin beam saber in its "mouth", and claws that could function as melee weapons. Its back turret weapon was also changed to a twin beam cannon. Both the twin beam saber and twin beam cannon were developed using data from the captured G Project mobile suits. In order to compensate for the increase in weight and size, the LaGOWE was fitted with improved leg units and additional thrusters in its wings. Like the BuCUE Waltfeld Custom Type, the LaGOWE adopted a two-seater design, with a gunner seated in the front and a pilot seated in the back. With this arrangement, the gunner could make the most effective use of the mobile suit's beam weaponry, while the pilot could better concentrate on piloting, allowing the LaGOWE to be utilized at its maximum potential and demonstrate mobility that far surpassed that of BuCUE's.

HG HGUC 1/144 RGM-96X Jesta Gundam
Bandai
$21.00The RGM-96X Jesta is a mobile suit based on the RGM-89 Jegan, and it is introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The Jesta is a high performance special operations mobile suit of the Jegan series developed by Anaheim Electronics to escort the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, as the Unicorn Gundam's operating time in its Destroy Mode is limited. Aside from escorting the Unicorn Gundam, the Jesta's intended mission also consisted of dispatching ordinary enemy forces, creating "situations" in which the Unicorn Gundam can directly confront and destroy enemy Newtype weapons. The Jesta is fitted with a backpack capable of tremendous thrust so as to keep up with the Unicorn Gundam. Although the Jesta's weapon loadout is similar to the Jegan's, it features improved and more advanced weapons, such as the customized beam rifle and backpack-mounted movable shield, which like the Jegan's shield, contains four missiles. In addition to its advanced weaponry, the Jesta also carries three spare magazines for the beam rifle on the right forearm, and a beam saber on its left forearm.Although intended to be an escort unit, the Jesta's performance surpasses most Federation mobile suits of its time, overwhelmingly exceeding the Jegan type of the same period, with its performance reaching 90% of the RX-93 ν Gundam's. The Jesta is essentially a product of the UC Project, however this fact has been kept hidden even within the Earth Federation Forces.
