Preorder & Backorder Questions
Q: What is a preorder or backorder?
A preorder order backorder is an order placed for an item that has not yet been released or is not currently in stock.
Q: When will I receive my preordered/backordered item(s)?
The expected manufacturer release date for the item is always detailed in the item description.
Preorders/Backorders typically arrive within 35~45 days after the manufacturer release date. This timeframe is affected by two separate factors:
Manufacturer lead time: This is the time it takes for the manufacturer to produce and prepare the item for shipment. It can vary depending on the product and current production capacity. Typically, it takes up to 7~14 business days.
International shipping: If the item requires international shipping, once the item is ready, it will be shipped internationally to our US warehouse. This generally takes 35~45 days, but may be longer due to factors like customs clearance or holidays.
After arrival at our US warehouse, orders will be shipped immediately on the following business day.
Please note that the delivery date for your preordered/backordered item is an approximate estimate based on the expected arrival time provided by the vendor. It is possible that shipping delays may occur, which could affect the delivery date. We strive to provide the most accurate estimated delivery date for our preorders/backorders based on all available information, but please be aware that it is only an estimate. LA Scale Model is not responsible for any delays in delivery due to production or logistics issues. If you have any concerns about the delivery of your preordered item, please contact us directly.
Q: Will I be charged for my preordered/backordered item when I place the order?
Yes, the full amount for the item will be charged to your account when the order is placed.
Q: Can I cancel my preorder/backorder?
Preorder/backorder cancellations are possible by emailing lascalemodel@purplestonetech.com to ensure a smooth process.
Q: Is there a fee for Preorder/Backorder cancellation?
We'll secure your preordered/backordered item with the manufacturer and fulfill them in the order received for a fair experience. To discourage unfair line-holding and ensure everyone gets a shot, a 25% restocking fee applies to cancellations.
Q: Will the price of a preordered/backordered item change?
The price of a preordered/backordered item is set at the time the order is placed. The price will not change after the order is placed, even if the price changes once the item is released.

Q: How do I check the status of my order?
To check the status of your order, you can log in to your account with the store or check your order confirmation email for updates. You may also be able to check the status of your order by contacting us directly.
Q: Can I change my order once it has been placed?
It may be possible to change your order. It is best to contact us directly to see if a change is allowed and under what circumstances.
