Preorder & Backorder Questions

Q: What is a preorder or backorder?

A preorder is for an item not yet released by the manufacturer. A backorder is for an item currently out of stock.

Q: How do preorders work?

The expected release date is listed in the item description. Manufacturer dates are estimates - production schedules can shift.

Once released, the item ships to our US warehouse. This involves two stages:

Manufacturer lead time: This is the time it takes for the manufacturer to produce and prepare the item for shipment. It can vary depending on the product and current production capacity. Typically, it takes up to 7~14 business days.

International shipping: 35-45 days to our US warehouse, sometimes longer due to customs or holidays.

Orders ship the next business day after warehouse arrival.

Q: How do backorders work?

We run monthly backorder batches from the 11th of each month through the 11th of the following month. When you place a backorder, your item is immediately locked in with the manufacturer.

Items ship to us as they're ready. Once they arrive at our California warehouse, they're packed and sent to you with a shipping notification.

Q: Why backorder instead of waiting for in-stock?

A backorder locks in your price and guarantees your item. Popular kits sell out fast - no scrambling required.

Q: When will I receive my preordered/backordered item?

For preorders, typically 35-45 days after the actual arrival of the kits from the manufacturer.

For backorders, timing depends on where your item is in the monthly batch cycle, but generally follows the same 35-45 day window once the item is in hand.

All delivery dates are estimates. Delays can occur due to production or logistics. Contact us directly with any concerns.

Q: Will I be charged when I place the order?

Yes, the full amount is charged at the time of order.

Q: Can I cancel my preorder/backorder?

Q: Is there a cancellation fee?

A 25% restocking fee applies. We secure items with the manufacturer and fulfill in order received - this discourages line-holding and keeps things fair for everyone.

Q: Will the price change after I order?

No. Your price is locked in at the time of order, even if the price changes later.
