Despite its massive upper body, the Zowort could achieve flight without the aid of an additional flight unit thanks to the lightweight chassis, and the triangular thrusters mounted on its back and legs. The Zowort was primarily developed using aeronautics as a basis. It was built with mid to long-range combat in mind. However, it did not have any defensive armaments, which was why pilots assigned to Zoworts were often instructed to engage enemies at a distance and try to evade incoming attacks.
