The ZGMF-X31S Abyss Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Known pilots include Mare Strode and Auel Neider. The Abyss Gundam is a prototype transformable amphibious mobile suit developed as part of ZAFT's Second Stage Series. The MA mode relies mainly on the high-speed guided torpedos and dual cannons for underwater attacks, and the dual beam cannon for destroying targets on and above the water surface. The suit's beam weaponry are never used underwater as their power are reduced by the water. The Abyss Gundam can also use a handheld beam lance for close combat (even in the water as the lance has a physical blade), and for defense, it can use the pair of shoulder-mounted binders as shields as they are anti-beam coated. The suit mainly functions as a long range support unit due to its large array of ranged weaponry.

The ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. A variant of the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior equipped with the Wizard System's EX-A1 Gunner Wizard on its back. The Gunner ZAKU Warrior is specialized for artillery strikes, and its main weapon is the M1500 "Orthros" high-energy long-range beam cannon mounted on the Gunner Wizard. This beam cannon is the strongest ranged weapon available to the ZAKU Warrior and grants it impressive firepower over long ranges, capable of destroying any mobile suits or mobile armors within its line of fire.

One of the prototype mobile suits produced by ZAFT as part of its Second Stage Series, the ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam can transform from MS mode into MA mode that is designed for high speed, high mobility space combat. In compliance with the Junius Treaty, the suit is powered by a battery but it could be recharged during battle using the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. The suit also has a new form of Phase Shift armor known as Variable Phase Shift armor, and is armed with several CIWS guns, a multi-phase beam cannon, two beam sabers, two beam claws, a shield, a beam rifle and a pair of mobile weapon pods.Most of Chaos Gundam's weapons can be used in either MS or MA form, and the mobile weapon pods are similar to the TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero's gunbarrels but wirelessly controlled and can be used by a pilot without high spatial awareness. The suit's MA mode was previously tested by XMF-P192P Proto-Chaos and although it is specialized for space use, it has no problem operating on earth. A unique aspect of the Chaos' MA mode is it retains the full use of the MS mode's hands. Thanks to the high output thrusters mounted on the suit and on the two mobile weapon pods, the Chaos Gundam can fly in the earth's atmosphere without using any extra equipment.

The ZAKU Warrior is a descendant of the original Zaku II from the Universal Century, and it incorporates many of the same design elements, such as the mono-eye sensor and the large shoulder spikes. The GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the HD Remaster version of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is the heavy armed variant of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and is piloted by Mu La Flaga. The Perfect Strike Gundam is a configuration of the Strike Gundam equipped with the "AQM/E-YM1 Multiple Assault Striker", which integrates the characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs. A modified Aile Striker Pack served as the central unit of the Multiple Assault Striker, its main wings are moved back slightly for mounting the "Schwert Gewehr" Anti-Ship Sword and "Agni" Hyper Impulse Cannon, and four battery packs are attached to the back to deal with the increased energy consumption.Although the Multiple Assault Striker enabled the Perfect Strike to fight in all ranges with powerful weapons, it has two major problems. Firstly, the added weight of the Multiple Assault Striker lead to a decrease in mobility, and secondly, the large variety of weapons make it difficult to operate them efficiently. Due to these issues, the Perfect Strike was only deployed in combat once, but it was able to exhibit high operability due to the skills of its pilot, Mu La Flaga.

The GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam is a prototype stealth Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Nicol Amalfi. The GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam is developed for the purpose of conducting surprise attacks deep behind enemy lines. It is the only unit among the five prototypes created under the Alliance's G Project to use the X200 series frame that is designed to support special systems. In this case, the Mirage Colloid Stealth System that renders Blitz invisible to both sensors and the naked eye. The suit is painted mainly black to enhance the effectiveness of the stealth system and is fitted with other systems to ensure the silent operation of internal mechanisms and systems, as well as to control the heat dissipation while cloaked. Like the other four units, Blitz is also equipped with Phase Shift armor system, but unlike them, it does not have any built-in weaponry like the CIWS. Duel also has a Rail Bazooka as an optional weapon, but it was taken and used by MBF-P01 Gundam Astray Gold Frame to escape from Heliopolis.After being stolen by ZAFT and damaged in battle with the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam, the suit is upgraded with the Assault Shroud. The Assault Shroud is a set of ejectable armor mounted on the Duel’s body to enhance overall combat performance. It adds a "Shiva" 115mm railgun to the right shoulder and a 220mm 5-barrel missile pod to the left shoulder for additional firepower, as well as various leg and backpack-mounted thrusters for better mobility. The ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam (aka Akatsuki Gundam, Akatsuki) is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is initially piloted by Cagalli Yula Athha using the "Oowashi" Sky Pack, and later by Mu La Flaga using the "Shiranui" Space Pack. The Akatsuki Gundam was developed through the fusion of the knowledge that the Orb engineers had gained from studying the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and its Striker Pack support system, with newer Orb-based prototype technologies. Its standard armaments include a twin beam saber, head-mounted CIWS, an arm-mounted shield, and a beam rifle. Its most remarkable feature is its gold-colored armor, known as the Yata-no-Kagami. Gold is the color reserved for Orb's ruling class, and this armor is actually a mirror surface armor capable of deflecting and even reflecting beam fire with help from the Akatsuki's sensors, making the mobile suit virtually impervious to beam shots. Despite this, its vulnerability to melee and physical weapons remained equal to that of any other mobile suit, hence the presence of a shield as part of its armaments.The Akatsuki can also equip two optional backpacks, which are derived from the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs, to improve its combat abilities. On Earth, it can use an aerial backpack known as "Oowashi" Sky Pack, granting it atmospheric flight capabilities. Armed with two beam cannons, the Oowashi can separate from the mobile suit and transform into a support aircraft, similar to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam's Fatum-00. With this pack on, the suit is known as Oowashi Akatsuki Gundam. When operating in space, the Akatsuki can use another backpack known as the "Shiranui" Space Pack, which increases the suit's mobility and equipped it with seven remote control beam turret units that have offensive and defensive capabilities. With this pack on, the suit is known as Shiranui Akatsuki Gundam.

The GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Orga Sabnak. One of three second-generation GAT-X machines, Calamity is built on the X100-series frame and inherits GAT-X103 Buster Gundam's artillery attack concept. It can also be used to provide support from the rear and is armed with several powerful range weapons, but it completely lacks any close combat weaponry. Its armament consisted of two back-mounted high-energy long-range beam cannons, a chest-mounted multi-phase energy cannon, 2-barrel ram cannon equipped shield attached to the left arm and a hand-carried plasma-sabot bazooka. Due to its Trans-Phase armor, a more energy-efficient form of the Phase Shift armor, Calamity has a longer operational time than the first generation GAT-X machines and also has more energy for its power-hungry beam weapons. With the powerful thrusters installed around the body, it can hover over deserts or bodies of water easily. However, as it lacks true flight capability within the atmosphere, it often has to ride on top of GAT-X370 Raider Gundam when the latter is in MA mode to keep up with its flight-capable sister units when moving to the combat zone. In this configuration, Calamity uses Raider much like ZAFT suits use the Guul subflight lifter. The control system of the Calamity is very complex and its customized OS can only be used by the "Biological CPU".

The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. Designated as the commander unit of the Alliance's G Project due to its enhanced communication and analysis capabilities, Aegis also has heavy attack power as well as Phase Shift armor and can transform into a mobile armor (MA) due to its X300-series frame. In MA mode, it has two different sub modes, 'Cruise' and 'Attack'. When in 'MA Cruise Mode', Aegis has higher speed and acceleration, while in 'MA Attack Mode', it can destroy enemy ship/mobile suit with its "Scylla" 580mm energy cannon directly or grab onto them with its four limbs first then destroy them using the cannon. Other weaponry includes two head-mounted CIWS, a hand-held beam rifle, a shield and a beam saber in each limb.Aegis also has a large sensor unit at the top of its head and unlike most suits, its main thrusters seem to be located in the side binders on its waist. Due to the transformation system, Aegis's internal structure is more complex and it is for this reason that there are no mass production variants of the suit. The three different modes (MS Mode, MA Cruise Mode and MA Attack Mode) also means that Aegis's pilot needs to have higher skills to be able to use the suit effectively.

GAT-01A1+AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Dagger is a mobile suit introduced in the original design series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV. It is most notably piloted by Morgan Chevalier. A variant of the GAT-01A1 Dagger (aka 105 Dagger) piloted by the "Moonlight Mad Dog", Morgan Chevalier. The Gunbarrel Dagger mounts the AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Striker as a Striker Pack, granting the suit usage of the remote controlled Wired Gunbarrels (which could only be controlled by individuals with high spatial awareness, like Morgan) and perhaps the Striker's Gatling gun, in addition to the Dagger's standard weaponry. The Gunbarrel Striker can be automated or piloted, and if it is the latter, the front section can be detached after the Striker Pack docks to the Dagger's back, which make sense as the unit's pilot is useless after the pack docks with the MS. In fact, this is what Morgan often does if the pack is delivered in battle by a pilot. As the wires of the wired gunbarrels can be easily severed during combat, a backup Gunbarrel Striker is always prepared in advance and send out when almost all the wired gunbarrels have been severed or destroyed.

The GINN High Maneuver Type is a mobile suit introduced in the original design series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV. A variant of the ZGMF-1017 GINN, the GINN High Maneuver Type was created to extend the lifespan of the GINN series and to fill the gap before deployment of the ZGMF-600 GuAIZ. It was also tuned for ace pilots. Due to the new backpack and the addition of vernier thrusters all over the body, the mobile suit has improved maneuverability, acceleration and traveling range in space. Its turning speed is also improved by 180% and to handle the increased stress, its joints are strengthened by 30%. The suit's developers placed a high priority on reliability and productivity, and as such only battle-proven technologies are used. A good example of this is that the new backpack utilize the MMI-M729 Thruster Engine that was widely used by battleships.Ace pilots that received the GINN High Maneuver Type were very satisfied with its performance. Although only a limited number of the machine were produced by the time GuAIZ was deployed, the fact that it has the same operability as the GINN and shares many parts with it, making maintenance and repair work simple, caused it to be strongly supported by many soldiers and calls for it to be assigned to the front lines remain high. Weapons wise, the GINN High Maneuver Type is typically equipped with a JDP2-MMX22 experimental 27mm armor assault rifle, which mounts a MA-M3 heavy blade for close combat.

The ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. One of ZAFT's five ZGMF-X Gundam units produced in CE 71 using technology derived from the four captured Alliance's Gundam, the Justice Gundam's main feature is the Fatum-00 unit on its back. This complex armament unit normally serves as the main thrusters, granting overwhelming acceleration as well as mobility when deployed horizontally and this configuration is also known as 'High-Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode'. It also grants flight capabilities in the atmosphere and can be deployed as a separate unmanned unit or a subflight unit. It is armed with beam cannons and machine guns.Other weapons of the Justice included beam sabers, beam rifle, shield, beam boomerangs and head-mounted CIWS guns. In comparison to the other ZGMF-X Gundam units, the Justice's armament is relatively simple and pales in firepower compared to its sibling, the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam. However, the Justice's true value lies in its incredible mobility and the various tactics it can employ using the Fatum-00. It can also dock with a support unit, the METEOR unit, for heavier firepower and greater speed, and has an advanced targeting system, the Multi Lock-On System, which allows it to fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously.Justice also has a tall sensor spine on the top of its head, similar to that of the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, and this enhances its ability to collect information in the battlefield. It is designed to be operated alongside the Freedom and for this purpose, the warship Eternal is designed specifically to maintain both suits. Like the four other ZGMF-X Gundam units, Justice is armored with Phase Shift Armor and has virtually unlimited combat endurance as it is powered by a nuclear reactor thanks to the Neutron Jammer Canceller.

The GAT-X105E+AQM/E-M1 Strike E + I.W.S.P. is a variant of the GAT-X105E Strike E introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Δ Astray. It is piloted by Sven Cal Bayang and Lukas O'Donnell. The Integrated Weapon Striker Pack (I.W.S.P.) combines the primary characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs, allowing the equipped mobile suit to handle various situations with only one set of equipment. As such it is very heavy, very powerful, very energy intensive and difficult to use. The I.W.S.P. also grants mobile suit the ability to fly within the atmosphere and was originally completed by Orb Union's Morgenroete Inc. during the last days of the first war with the model number, P202QX. AQM/E-M1 is a new model of I.W.S.P. developed by Actaeon Industries after the war, it is functionally identical to the P202QX. When using the I.W.S.P., the Strike E can also be equipped with either Strike or Duel Gundam's beam rifle as its optional handheld weapon.

The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam (aka Freedom, X10A) is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and piloted by Kira Yamato.One of ZAFT's ZGMF-X series of Gundam units build in C.E. 71 using technology derived from the four captured Alliance's Gundam, the Freedom Gundam has Phase Shift Armor and its armaments include CIWS guns, beam sabers, shield, plasma beam cannons, railguns, and a beam rifle. When the latter three weapons are used simultaneously, the Freedom is said to be in 'Full Burst Mode'. The suit has full flight capabilities in the atmosphere and the back-mounted wings can be deployed in "High Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode" to enhance its mobility in the atmosphere or in space. It also has an advanced targeting system, the Multi Lock-On System, that allows it to target and fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously. Due to its capabilities and loadout, the suit has a reputation as a specialized 'Mobile Suit Killer', but its high performance resulted in a complicated control system that demands extremely fast reaction speed and spatial awareness from its pilot.When required, the Freedom Gundam can dock with a support unit, the METEOR unit, for heavier firepower and greater speed. The Freedom Gundam has virtually unlimited combat endurance as it is equipped with a Neutron Jammer Canceller and powered by a nuclear reactor. Kira describes the suit as having over four times the power of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam. However, what this exactly means is unclear. The Freedom Gundam is meant to operate alongside the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, and they are often based on the warship, the FFMH-Y101 Eternal, which is designed specifically to maintain them. Even in CE 73, the suit is still considered by some people, such as Shinn Asuka, as the most powerful mobile suit out there. Overall, it is one of Clyne Faction's symbols of power, along with the Eternal, the Archangel, and the Justice.

The MBF-02+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Rouge is a high mobility mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It reappeared in the sequel series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, but was replaced by the MBF-02+EW454F Strike Rouge Ootori in the HD Remaster version. The Aile Strike Rouge's primary pilot is the Princess of Orb, Cagalli Yula Athha. Like the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam, equipping the MBF-02 Strike Rouge with the AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker pack improves the MS' speed and maneuverability. Aile Strike Rouge is the most commonly seen form of Strike Rouge, and is armed with two head-mounted CIWS guns, two combat knives, a beam rifle, a shield and a pair of beam sabers stored on the Aile Striker.Though never stated, it seems the Aile Striker pack for the Strike Rouge was upgraded by the Orb Union between the end of the first war and the second war. The original Aile Striker pack did not have full flight capability in the atmosphere, but during the second war, the Aile Strike Rouge was able to fly in Earth's atmosphere alongside the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam on several occasions.

The GAT-X105 Strike Gundam is a prototype multi-mode mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Its primary pilot was Kira Yamato before it was passed down to former mobile armor ace pilot, Mu La Flaga. The Strike Gundam is the most versatile of the five Gundams in the Earth Alliance's G Project and can be easily configured for various types of combat. Using its Striker Packs, it can be outfitted for high mobility combat (Aile Strike), long-range assault (Launcher Strike), or melee combat (Sword Strike). In addition, the Striker packs are also equipped with backup batteries that can extend the Strike's operation time. Built on the X100 series frame first adopted by the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam, the Strike also has the Phase Shift armor system. In terms of armament, the Strike itself is equipped only with two head-mounted CIWS and a pair of combat knives stored in the side skirt armor, but it can also be armed with a bazooka, a shield, and a beam rifle. Later on, the Strike Gundam was equipped with a Natural-use OS to allow its new pilot, Mu La Flaga, to control the suit effectively.

The MBF-02+P202QX Strike Rouge IWSP is a mobile suit introduced in the the original design series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV and featured in the photo-novel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray B. The Strike Rouge was originally intended to be equipped with the P202QX Integrated Weapons Striker Pack (IWSP). However, this plan was dropped as the control system was too complex for the mobile suit's pilot, Cagalli Yula Athha. The IWSP combines the primary characteristics of the Aile, Sword, and Launcher Striker Packs, allowing the Strike Rogue to handle different combat situations with one set of equipment. The IWSP also grants atmospheric flight capability. As the Strike Rouge IWSP has no ranged beam weapon, it can be equipped with the Strike Rogue's beam rifle if necessary. The IWSP was initially developed by the PMP Company, but its development stopped due to energy issues.
