Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

The GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Orga Sabnak. One of three second-generation GAT-X machines, Calamity is built on the X100-series frame and inherits GAT-X103 Buster Gundam's artillery attack concept. It can also be used to provide support from the rear and is armed with several powerful range weapons, but it completely lacks any close combat weaponry. Its armament consisted of two back-mounted high-energy long-range beam cannons, a chest-mounted multi-phase energy cannon, 2-barrel ram cannon equipped shield attached to the left arm and a hand-carried plasma-sabot bazooka. Due to its Trans-Phase armor, a more energy-efficient form of the Phase Shift armor, Calamity has a longer operational time than the first generation GAT-X machines and also has more energy for its power-hungry beam weapons. With the powerful thrusters installed around the body, it can hover over deserts or bodies of water easily. However, as it lacks true flight capability within the atmosphere, it often has to ride on top of GAT-X370 Raider Gundam when the latter is in MA mode to keep up with its flight-capable sister units when moving to the combat zone. In this configuration, Calamity uses Raider much like ZAFT suits use the Guul subflight lifter. The control system of the Calamity is very complex and its customized OS can only be used by the "Biological CPU".

The NOG-M1A1 Black Knight Squad Shi-ve.A is a mobile suit introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. An advanced high-performance mobile suit developed by the Kingdom of Foundation using ZAFT technology, designed to specialize in close combat. It utilizes many advanced technologies, such as the new Femto Technology Armor to defend against beam weaponry.

The STTS-909 Rising Freedom Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. Using all previous operational data from the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, the unit was designed incorporating transformation technology acquired by Orb through the MVF-M11C Murasame. Also, its weapons are developed and manufactured from PLANT, and latest technologies from various countries and organizations are used to develop this unit. It shares a frame with the STTS-808 Immortal Justice Gundam, as well as containing the same panoramic monitor cockpit and OS. This state-of-the-art mobile suit is also remarkable in that it is even more compact in size than previous Freedom units. Its equipment mainly consists of long-distance combat armament, with Variable Phase Shift Armor (VPS Armor) that can neutralize physical ammunition. With its common frame as a base, equipment may be changed depending on usage needs, making this a multi-role unit capable of utilizing numerous variations.Unlike its predecessors, the Rising Freedom Gundam is battery-powered, necessitating the use of various measures to conserve power for its energy-intensive loadout.

The FX-550 Skygrasper is an aerial support fighter introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The Skygrasper was a fighter aircraft originally designed to support the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam. To fulfill this role, it was given the ability to mount the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs so as to deliver them to the mobile suit during combat, and this removes the need for the mobile suit to return to the hangar of its mothership for re-equipping. In addition, the Skygrasper can utilize many of the Packs' weapons and equipment, such as the Aile Striker's thrusters for additional speed and agility, the Sword Striker's anti-ship sword and rocket anchor for close range attacks, and the Launcher Striker's beam cannon for enhanced long-range firepower, allowing it to provide fire support for the Strike Gundam.On its own, the Skygrasper is armed with a turret-mounted beam cannon, two medium caliber cannons, four machine guns, and can launch anti-ship missiles, bombs, etc from the two weapons bays, making it a very capable air superiority fighter in its own right. In fact, the combination of these weapons and the Skygrasper's maneuverability grant it combat capabilities on par with most mobile suits. Like its predecessor, the F-7D Spearhead, the Skygrasper is capable of VTOL. The Skygrasper was eventually put into mass production by the Earth Alliance to support the Dagger series mobile suits that could utilize Striker Packs. These mass production units are mostly identical to the original two units assigned to support the Strike Gundam, except in their color schemes, where they are painted in gray and yellow instead of the original's brighter colors.

The ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam (aka Infinite Justice, Justice) is the successor to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. Developed as a successor to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam also incorporates technology from ZAFT's Second Stage Series such as the Variable Phase Shift armor. Adjustments were made to reflect Athrun Zala's combat data, practically making the ∞ Justice his dedicated mobile suit. The ∞ Justice's close combat capability is enhanced over its predecessor's and is armed with a number of unique weapons such as leg beam blades and a carrier beam shield that is a combination of a beam shield, a beam boomerang and a grapple stinger.The ∞ Justice carries on its back a flight unit that can be deployed as a separate support unit/subflight unit. This Fatum-01 is an improved version of the original Justice's Fatum-00 with higher overall performance, and is armed with a pair of beam cannons as well as several beam blades. The suit can dock with the METEOR unit for additional firepower as well as speed, and can fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously using the Multi Lock-On System. As with the Justice, ∞ Justice is design to operate alongside another mobile suit, in this case, the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, and is stationed on board the warship Eternal. Like the Strike Freedom, the ∞ Justice is equipped with Neutron Jammer Canceller, Hyper-Deuterion Engine, and has joints as well as inner frame made of PS armor materials.The Hyper-Deuterion Engine is a new type of nuclear reactor and due to its massive output, the ∞ Justice has extremely high mobility and maneuverability. Meanwhile, the phase-shifting of its joints and inner frame as a result of the PS armor materials give them strength and near human flexibility while also enhancing the suit's combat abilities. Additionally, the ∞ Justice is able to discharge excess residual energy within the body through the joints' glowing effect, which is silver instead of Strike Freedom's gold. The ∞ Justice has a shorter V-fin than its predecessor as the performance of the sensor unit within the head crest has been greatly enhanced.

The ZGMF-56E2/α Force Impulse Gundam Spec II is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. It is piloted by Lunamaria Hawke. An upgraded version of the ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam secretly modified by Erica Simmons at the request of Cagalli Yula Athha, the Force Impulse Gundam Spec II features improved battery capacity. It is visually distinguished from the original by a slightly darker and desaturated color scheme, caused by differences in voltage from the new battery on the Variable Phase Shift armor. Otherwise, the Force Impulse Spec II retains all of the capabilities of the original Impulse Gundam.

The STTS-808 Immortal Justice Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. Using all previous operational data from the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam, the unit was designed incorporating convertible technology acquired by Orb through the MVF-M11C Murasame. It shares a frame with the STTS-909 Rising Freedom Gundam, as well as containing the same panoramic monitor cockpit and OS. The DF2Mk3 Skydart lifter system on the unit's back has greater thrust and mobility than the ∞ Justice Gundam's lifter. The name "Immortal" implies that this unit parallels the Eternal, support ship of the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam.Unlike its predecessors, the Immortal Justice Gundam is battery-powered, necessitating the use of various measures to conserve power for its energy-intensive loadout.

The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Shinn Asuka and later by Lunamaria Hawke. The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam equipped with the α Force Silhouette pack. The Force Impulse is a general purpose MS like the original Impulse, but has extremely high mobility under gravity and in zero gravity due to the Force Silhouette's high output thrusters and large wings. This pack also enables atmospheric flight, and adds a pair of beam sabers to the Impulse's standard armaments, granting the Force Impulse high melee and ranged combat capabilities. The Force Impulse is the most commonly used form of the Impulse due to its high versatility, and it is said that its aerial combat capabilities are equivalent to the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam's. The Force Impulse retains the same VPS colors as the original Impulse.

The ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. The ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam is one of ZAFT's five Second Stage Series mobile suits, and like other machines of the series, it inherited the basic performance of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam and the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, making it superior to the ZAFT's mass production MS in CE 73, the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior. The design of the Saviour Gundam emphasizes mobility, and not only does it demonstrate high aerial combat capability in MS mode due to its two large wings, it can also transform into a fighter jet-like mobile armor (MA) mode, which has higher acceleration and cruising speed.With sensor-type devices mounted at the top, the Saviour's head is reminiscent of the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam's. The Saviour excels in hit-and-run attacks using a combination of its MS and MA modes and is armed with a beam rifle, a shield, two beam sabers, two CIWS guns, two machine guns as well as a pair of beam and plasma beam cannons. It can also operate in space and is equipped with a new form of Phase Shift armor known as Variable Phase Shift armor as well as a battery that can be recharged during battle using the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. As with the ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam, the Saviour Gundam is based upon a similar prototype unit, in this case the ZGMF-YX21R Proto-Saviour.

The ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam (aka Akatsuki Gundam, Akatsuki) is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is initially piloted by Cagalli Yula Athha using the "Oowashi" Sky Pack, and later by Mu La Flaga using the "Shiranui" Space Pack. The Akatsuki Gundam was developed through the fusion of the knowledge that the Orb engineers had gained from studying the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and its Striker Pack support system, with newer Orb-based prototype technologies. Its standard armaments include a twin beam saber, head-mounted CIWS, an arm-mounted shield, and a beam rifle. Its most remarkable feature is its gold-colored armor, known as the Yata-no-Kagami. Gold is the color reserved for Orb's ruling class, and this armor is actually a mirror surface armor capable of deflecting and even reflecting beam fire with help from the Akatsuki's sensors, making the mobile suit virtually impervious to beam shots. Despite this, its vulnerability to melee and physical weapons remained equal to that of any other mobile suit, hence the presence of a shield as part of its armaments.The Akatsuki can also equip two optional backpacks, which are derived from the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs, to improve its combat abilities. On Earth, it can use an aerial backpack known as "Oowashi" Sky Pack, granting it atmospheric flight capabilities. Armed with two beam cannons, the Oowashi can separate from the mobile suit and transform into a support aircraft, similar to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam's Fatum-00. With this pack on, the suit is known as Oowashi Akatsuki Gundam. When operating in space, the Akatsuki can use another backpack known as the "Shiranui" Space Pack, which increases the suit's mobility and equipped it with seven remote control beam turret units that have offensive and defensive capabilities. With this pack on, the suit is known as Shiranui Akatsuki Gundam.

The ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Rey Za Burrel. The direct successor of the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam, the Legend Gundam, unlike its predecessor, was designed with the use of the DRAGOON System in mind. As such, the layout and structure of its DRAGOON System was greatly improved. In addition, improvements in the operating system allowed pilots without high spatial awareness to use the DRAGOONs as well. Thanks to the two pairs of blade antennas on its head, the Legend Gundam also had enhanced intelligence gathering capabilities compared to its predecessor.Developed as part of the Third Stage Series, the Legend Gundam's output far surpassed the Second Stage Series units due to its use of the Hyper-Deuterion Engine, a hybrid of nuclear power and the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. However, since the Junius Treaty banned the use of nuclear engines, it was classified as part of the Second Stage Series due to political concerns (hence the "S" at the end of its model number).In addition to the DRAGOONs, the Legend was armed with the MA-BAR78F high energy beam rifle, an improved version of the Providence's MA-M221 "Judicium" beam rifle, as well as a pair of MA-M80S Defiant Kai beam javelin, which could be connected to form a double-bladed beam saber known as the "ambidextrous halberd". The ZGMF-1001/M Blaze ZAKU Phantom is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. The Blaze ZAKU Phantom is the ZGMF-1001 ZAKU Phantom equipped with the Wizard System's EX-M Blaze Wizard on its back. As a result, the suit has higher mobility in space and on earth due to additional high output thrusters mounted in the Blaze Wizard. The Blaze Wizard also adds two missile launchers containing large number of AGM138 "Firebee" guided missiles to the ZAKU Phantom's standard armaments.

The ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper is a prototype heavy mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Hilda Harken, Mars Simeon and Herbert Von Reinhard. A modified design of ZAFT's ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper Original Spec Type, the DOM Trooper is armed with an enhanced beam saber stored on the back-mounted EZ Wizard, a "Screaming Nimbus" in the abdomen, a handheld "Giga-launcher" capable of firing physical projectiles and high-powered beams, and a pair of shoulder-mounted CIWS. The DOM Trooper also mounts a defensive "Solidus Fulgor" beam shield generator, the same type used by ZAFT's ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam and ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam, on each forearm. Its large body and legs mount numerous thrusters, giving the DOM Trooper excellent mobility in spite of its bulk. It also possesses a hovering system built into its legs for moving rapidly over land. As seen in the series, the DOM Troopers' capabilities far exceeds that of the mass production suits of ZAFT.A trio of DOM Troopers can utilize a special attack known as "Jet Stream Attack", which allows them to combine the power of three mobile suits into one through a highly synchronized attack. This maneuver involves the three units attacking in rapid succession, with each using a different weapon, and the lead pilot activating the "Screaming Nimbus". The "Screaming Nimbus" produces a "cloud" of particles with both offensive and defensive capabilities that spread out to form a barrier around the DOM Troopers. This has the end effect of allowing the DOM Trooper to tear through groups of enemy units with ease while still having a certain level of defense from enemy fire.

The ZGMF-X31S Abyss Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Known pilots include Mare Strode and Auel Neider. The Abyss Gundam is a prototype transformable amphibious mobile suit developed as part of ZAFT's Second Stage Series. It is designed to use its MS mode for combat in space and on the ground, and can transform into a specialized MA mode for underwater combat. The MA mode adopts a streamline-shape that helps to reduce water resistance, making the suit faster and more mobile in the water, and also grants it higher underwater combat performance than the other ZAFT amphibious mobile suits. The MA mode relies mainly on the high-speed guided torpedos and dual cannons for underwater attacks, and the dual beam cannon for destroying targets on and above the water surface. The suit's beam weaponry are never used underwater as their power are reduced by the water. The Abyss Gundam can also use a handheld beam lance for close combat (even in the water as the lance has a physical blade), and for defense, it can use the pair of shoulder-mounted binders as shields as they are anti-beam coated. The suit mainly functions as a long range support unit due to its large array of ranged weaponry.

The ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. A variant of the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior equipped with the Wizard System's EX-A1 Gunner Wizard on its back. The Gunner ZAKU Warrior is specialized for artillery strikes, and its main weapon is the M1500 "Orthros" high-energy long-range beam cannon mounted on the Gunner Wizard. This beam cannon is the strongest ranged weapon available to the ZAKU Warrior and grants it impressive firepower over long ranges, capable of destroying any mobile suits or mobile armors within its line of fire.

The ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Sting Oakley. One of the prototype mobile suits produced by ZAFT as part of its Second Stage Series, the ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam can transform from MS mode into MA mode that is designed for high speed, high mobility space combat. In compliance with the Junius Treaty, the suit is powered by a battery but it could be recharged during battle using the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. The suit also has a new form of Phase Shift armor known as Variable Phase Shift armor, and is armed with several CIWS guns, a multi-phase beam cannon, two beam sabers, two beam claws, a shield, a beam rifle and a pair of mobile weapon pods.Most of Chaos Gundam's weapons can be used in either MS or MA form, and the mobile weapon pods are similar to the TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero's gunbarrels but wirelessly controlled and can be used by a pilot without high spatial awareness. The suit's MA mode was previously tested by XMF-P192P Proto-Chaos and although it is specialized for space use, it has no problem operating on earth. A unique aspect of the Chaos' MA mode is it retains the full use of the MS mode's hands. Thanks to the high output thrusters mounted on the suit and on the two mobile weapon pods, the Chaos Gundam can fly in the earth's atmosphere without using any extra equipment.

The HG Meteor Unit + Freedom Gundam is a 1/144 scale model kit from the Gundam SEED anime. The model is 22 inches long and doesn't require glue to build. It includes a new color version of the Freedom Gundam, which is fully articulated and has missile hatch openings and closures. The model also has large beam cannons that can tilt when docked. The Meteor Unit can be displayed on its stand and has effect parts that replicate the Beam Swords activated. The missile launcher hatches on the sides and back of the model can also be opened.
