Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

The ZGMF-1001/M Blaze ZAKU Phantom is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. The Blaze ZAKU Phantom is the ZGMF-1001 ZAKU Phantom equipped with the Wizard System's EX-M Blaze Wizard on its back. As a result, the suit has higher mobility in space and on earth due to additional high output thrusters mounted in the Blaze Wizard. The Blaze Wizard also adds two missile launchers containing large number of AGM138 "Firebee" guided missiles to the ZAKU Phantom's standard armaments.

The ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper is a prototype heavy mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Hilda Harken, Mars Simeon and Herbert Von Reinhard. A modified design of ZAFT's ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper Original Spec Type, the DOM Trooper is armed with an enhanced beam saber stored on the back-mounted EZ Wizard, a "Screaming Nimbus" in the abdomen, a handheld "Giga-launcher" capable of firing physical projectiles and high-powered beams, and a pair of shoulder-mounted CIWS. The DOM Trooper also mounts a defensive "Solidus Fulgor" beam shield generator, the same type used by ZAFT's ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam and ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam, on each forearm. Its large body and legs mount numerous thrusters, giving the DOM Trooper excellent mobility in spite of its bulk. It also possesses a hovering system built into its legs for moving rapidly over land. As seen in the series, the DOM Troopers' capabilities far exceeds that of the mass production suits of ZAFT.A trio of DOM Troopers can utilize a special attack known as "Jet Stream Attack", which allows them to combine the power of three mobile suits into one through a highly synchronized attack. This maneuver involves the three units attacking in rapid succession, with each using a different weapon, and the lead pilot activating the "Screaming Nimbus". The "Screaming Nimbus" produces a "cloud" of particles with both offensive and defensive capabilities that spread out to form a barrier around the DOM Troopers. This has the end effect of allowing the DOM Trooper to tear through groups of enemy units with ease while still having a certain level of defense from enemy fire.

The ZGMF-X31S Abyss Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Known pilots include Mare Strode and Auel Neider. The Abyss Gundam is a prototype transformable amphibious mobile suit developed as part of ZAFT's Second Stage Series. It is designed to use its MS mode for combat in space and on the ground, and can transform into a specialized MA mode for underwater combat. The MA mode adopts a streamline-shape that helps to reduce water resistance, making the suit faster and more mobile in the water, and also grants it higher underwater combat performance than the other ZAFT amphibious mobile suits. Like the other units in the Second Stage Series, the Abyss Gundam has a new form of Phase Shift armor known as Variable Phase Shift armor and is powered by a battery that can be recharged during battle using the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System.The Abyss is heavily armed and features a large number of beam and shell based weaponry, but most of them are usable only in MS mode. The MA mode relies mainly on the high-speed guided torpedos and dual cannons for underwater attacks, and the dual beam cannon for destroying targets on and above the water surface. The suit's beam weaponry are never used underwater as their power are reduced by the water. The Abyss Gundam can also use a handheld beam lance for close combat (even in the water as the lance has a physical blade), and for defense, it can use the pair of shoulder-mounted binders as shields as they are anti-beam coated. The suit mainly functions as a long range support unit due to its large array of ranged weaponry.

The ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. A variant of the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior equipped with the Wizard System's EX-A1 Gunner Wizard on its back. The Gunner ZAKU Warrior is specialized for artillery strikes, and its main weapon is the M1500 "Orthros" high-energy long-range beam cannon mounted on the Gunner Wizard. This beam cannon is the strongest ranged weapon available to the ZAKU Warrior and grants it impressive firepower over long ranges, capable of destroying any mobile suits or mobile armors within its line of fire.

One of the prototype mobile suits produced by ZAFT as part of its Second Stage Series, the ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam can transform from MS mode into MA mode that is designed for high speed, high mobility space combat. In compliance with the Junius Treaty, the suit is powered by a battery but it could be recharged during battle using the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. Thanks to the high output thrusters mounted on the suit and on the two mobile weapon pods, the Chaos Gundam can fly in the earth's atmosphere without using any extra equipment.

The ZAKU Warrior is a descendant of the original Zaku II from the Universal Century, and it incorporates many of the same design elements, such as the mono-eye sensor and the large shoulder spikes. The HG Meteor Unit + Freedom Gundam is a 1/144 scale model kit from the Gundam SEED anime. The model is 22 inches long and doesn't require glue to build. It includes a new color version of the Freedom Gundam, which is fully articulated and has missile hatch openings and closures. The model also has large beam cannons that can tilt when docked. The Meteor Unit can be displayed on its stand and has effect parts that replicate the Beam Swords activated. The missile launcher hatches on the sides and back of the model can also be opened.

The GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the HD Remaster version of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is the heavy armed variant of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and is piloted by Mu La Flaga. The Perfect Strike Gundam is a configuration of the Strike Gundam equipped with the "AQM/E-YM1 Multiple Assault Striker", which integrates the characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs. A modified Aile Striker Pack served as the central unit of the Multiple Assault Striker, its main wings are moved back slightly for mounting the "Schwert Gewehr" Anti-Ship Sword and "Agni" Hyper Impulse Cannon, and four battery packs are attached to the back to deal with the increased energy consumption.Although the Multiple Assault Striker enabled the Perfect Strike to fight in all ranges with powerful weapons, it has two major problems. Firstly, the added weight of the Multiple Assault Striker lead to a decrease in mobility, and secondly, the large variety of weapons make it difficult to operate them efficiently. Due to these issues, the Perfect Strike was only deployed in combat once, but it was able to exhibit high operability due to the skills of its pilot, Mu La Flaga.

The GAT-X370 Raider Gundam is a transformable Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Clotho Buer. The Raider is a transformable mobile suit and the only second generation GAT-X machine to adopt the X300-series frame used by the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam. Compared to the Aegis, Raider has improved anti-mobile suit capabilities when in MA mode and its transformation system is greatly simplified. It is actually a variant of the GAT-333 Raider Full Spec and maintains some of its predecessor's characteristics, like a MA mode specialized for flight and the two large fighter plane-like main wings that give it full atmospheric flight capabilities. These wings also boost Raider's turning capabilities and acceleration speed on earth and in space, as well as allow it to serve as a subflight lifter unit for carrying other mobile suits (usually the GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam). During battles, Raider often utilizes hit-and-run attacks and has Trans-Phase armor like the other second generation machines. The Raider is armed with both energy and shell-firing weapons (with some of them being usable only in flight mode) and uses the "Mjolnir" Spherical Breaker, a wire tethered mace, as its handheld weapon.

The GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Shani Andras. A second generation GAT-X machine, the Forbidden is designed for infiltrating and raiding enemy bases and to fulfil this role, it can transform into a "High-Speed Assault Form" by flipping its huge backpack unit over its head. Like the other two second generation units, the Forbidden is equipped with Trans-Phase armor (TP armor). Its armaments consists of head-mounted CIWS, forearm-mounted machine guns, a handheld scythe and backpack-mounted railguns and plasma cannon, both of which are usable only in "High-Speed Assault Form".As indicated by its model code, the Forbidden utilizes a X200-series frame like the GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam, and as such it is also equipped with special equipment. One special equipment is the "Geschmeidig Panzer" energy deflection armor installed in its two massive shields. This equipment can deflect any range beam attacks that hits it, making the Forbidden virtually invulnerable to these attacks. Coupled with the fact that the shields themselves also have TP armor, the Forbidden is thus well protected from most beam and physical attacks. In addition, the "Geschmeidig Panzer" also allows the Forbidden to move underwater with ease, even though it is not specifically designed for aquatic use.Another special equipment is the magnetic field generators installed on the railguns, they allow the bending of the plasma cannon's beam, making the attack harder to evade. Due to the powerful thrusters in the backpack, which is actually a specialized flight unit, the Forbidden can fly in the atmosphere and is one of the rare mobile suits to be capable of both aerial and aquatic combat without any additional equipment.

The GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam is a prototype stealth Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Nicol Amalfi. The GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam is developed for the purpose of conducting surprise attacks deep behind enemy lines. It is the only unit among the five prototypes created under the Alliance's G Project to use the X200 series frame that is designed to support special systems. In this case, the Mirage Colloid Stealth System that renders Blitz invisible to both sensors and the naked eye. The suit is painted mainly black to enhance the effectiveness of the stealth system and is fitted with other systems to ensure the silent operation of internal mechanisms and systems, as well as to control the heat dissipation while cloaked. Duel also has a Rail Bazooka as an optional weapon, but it was taken and used by MBF-P01 Gundam Astray Gold Frame to escape from Heliopolis.After being stolen by ZAFT and damaged in battle with the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam, the suit is upgraded with the Assault Shroud. The Assault Shroud is a set of ejectable armor mounted on the Duel’s body to enhance overall combat performance. It adds a "Shiva" 115mm railgun to the right shoulder and a 220mm 5-barrel missile pod to the left shoulder for additional firepower, as well as various leg and backpack-mounted thrusters for better mobility. Although the equipment worked well in space, it performs poorly under gravity due to its bulk.

The ORB-01 Akatsuki Gundam (aka Akatsuki Gundam, Akatsuki) is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is initially piloted by Cagalli Yula Athha using the "Oowashi" Sky Pack, and later by Mu La Flaga using the "Shiranui" Space Pack. The Akatsuki Gundam was developed through the fusion of the knowledge that the Orb engineers had gained from studying the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and its Striker Pack support system, with newer Orb-based prototype technologies. Its standard armaments include a twin beam saber, head-mounted CIWS, an arm-mounted shield, and a beam rifle. Its most remarkable feature is its gold-colored armor, known as the Yata-no-Kagami. Gold is the color reserved for Orb's ruling class, and this armor is actually a mirror surface armor capable of deflecting and even reflecting beam fire with help from the Akatsuki's sensors, making the mobile suit virtually impervious to beam shots. Despite this, its vulnerability to melee and physical weapons remained equal to that of any other mobile suit, hence the presence of a shield as part of its armaments.The Akatsuki can also equip two optional backpacks, which are derived from the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs, to improve its combat abilities. On Earth, it can use an aerial backpack known as "Oowashi" Sky Pack, granting it atmospheric flight capabilities. Armed with two beam cannons, the Oowashi can separate from the mobile suit and transform into a support aircraft, similar to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam's Fatum-00. With this pack on, the suit is known as Oowashi Akatsuki Gundam. When operating in space, the Akatsuki can use another backpack known as the "Shiranui" Space Pack, which increases the suit's mobility and equipped it with seven remote control beam turret units that have offensive and defensive capabilities. With this pack on, the suit is known as Shiranui Akatsuki Gundam.

The CGUE DEEP Arms is a variant of the ZGMF-515 CGUE introduced in the side story Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV. One unit is piloted by Shiho Hahnenfuss. The CGUE DEEP Arms (DEEP standing for Directional Energy Emission exPerimental) is a mobile suit based on the ZGMF-515 CGUE. It is created to test the beam weapon technology that ZAFT obtained from the four stolen G Project mobile suits, and is thus equipped with a pair of experimental beam cannons that are over 10 meters in length. The cannons' large size is due to the presence of a large beam-generating unit and large cooling systems. These cannons also placed an additional burden on the suit's body. To cope with it, existing power and cooling units are replaced by newer, high-output ones, and additional units are installed in the backpack.Although the beam cannons' cooling issue is not adequately solved, their performance reached acceptable levels, and data gained during their usage is used by ZAFT to develop subsequent beam weapons. Besides the cannons, the CGUE DEEP Arms' armaments include a heavy laser sword, a long physical sword with a laser edge, and the standard machine gun used by the original CGUE. The suit also has modified shoulders and leg units, while the head-mounted fin-shaped sensor array has been enlarged to improve the precision of the beam cannons' fire and the accuracy of the suit's attack while it is hiding behind cover.

The GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Orga Sabnak. One of three second-generation GAT-X machines, Calamity is built on the X100-series frame and inherits GAT-X103 Buster Gundam's artillery attack concept. It can also be used to provide support from the rear and is armed with several powerful range weapons, but it completely lacks any close combat weaponry. Its armament consisted of two back-mounted high-energy long-range beam cannons, a chest-mounted multi-phase energy cannon, 2-barrel ram cannon equipped shield attached to the left arm and a hand-carried plasma-sabot bazooka. Due to its Trans-Phase armor, a more energy-efficient form of the Phase Shift armor, Calamity has a longer operational time than the first generation GAT-X machines and also has more energy for its power-hungry beam weapons. With the powerful thrusters installed around the body, it can hover over deserts or bodies of water easily. However, as it lacks true flight capability within the atmosphere, it often has to ride on top of GAT-X370 Raider Gundam when the latter is in MA mode to keep up with its flight-capable sister units when moving to the combat zone. In this configuration, Calamity uses Raider much like ZAFT suits use the Guul subflight lifter. The control system of the Calamity is very complex and its customized OS can only be used by the "Biological CPU".

The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. Designated as the commander unit of the Alliance's G Project due to its enhanced communication and analysis capabilities, Aegis also has heavy attack power as well as Phase Shift armor and can transform into a mobile armor (MA) due to its X300-series frame. In MA mode, it has two different sub modes, 'Cruise' and 'Attack'. When in 'MA Cruise Mode', Aegis has higher speed and acceleration, while in 'MA Attack Mode', it can destroy enemy ship/mobile suit with its "Scylla" 580mm energy cannon directly or grab onto them with its four limbs first then destroy them using the cannon. Other weaponry includes two head-mounted CIWS, a hand-held beam rifle, a shield and a beam saber in each limb.Aegis also has a large sensor unit at the top of its head and unlike most suits, its main thrusters seem to be located in the side binders on its waist. Due to the transformation system, Aegis's internal structure is more complex and it is for this reason that there are no mass production variants of the suit. The three different modes (MS Mode, MA Cruise Mode and MA Attack Mode) also means that Aegis's pilot needs to have higher skills to be able to use the suit effectively.

The YMF-X000A Dreadnought Gundam (aka Dreadnaught, X Astray) is a Mobile Suit introduced in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray. Its main pilot is Prayer Reverie. Based on technology stolen from the Earth Alliance, the Dreadnought was jointly developed by PLANT's three primary military design bureaus: Clarke, Asimov, and Heinlein. It was a testbed for ZAFT's newly developed Neutron Jammer Canceller, which allowed the use of nuclear power under Neutron Jammer interference, making it the first mobile suit to be powered by a nuclear engine. The Dreadnought's Neutron Jammer Canceller was installed in its head, unlike the later nuclear-powered mobile suits that were developed using its data. Therefore, while its head was a custom made, Gundam type head, its body reused many parts from the ZGMF-600 GuAIZ to shorten its development time. Additionally, several of its weapons were based on those used by the GuAIZ.Due to its prototype nature, the Dreadnought's Neutron Jammer Canceller has a greater effective range than later units. Instead of being confined to the Dreadnought's nuclear engine, it also allowed nuclear reactions to occur nearby. Taking advantage of the nuclear engine's high output, the Dreadnought was equipped with the Phase Shift armor and the new DRAGOON System, both of which consume massive amount of power. In case the Neutron Jammer Canceller is missing or inoperable, the Dreadnought could still function using its internal battery, though it was unable to use the Phase Shift armor in this state.The DRAGOON System (Disconnected Rapid Armament Group Overlook Operation Network System) is similar in concept to the Wired Gunbarrels equipped by the Alliance's TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero, but its remote weaponry are controlled wirelessly via quantum communication, which is immune to the Neutron Jammers' disruptive effects. The power intensive nature of the DRAGOON System is attributed to the quantum communication. Like the Wired Gunbarrels, the DRAGOON System can only be operated by pilots who have a high level of spatial awareness. Initially, the Dreadnought's remote weaponry only consisted of two waisted-mounted XM1 "Pristis" Beam Reamers, it gained more remote weaponry when a large, X-shaped backpack armed with four DRAGOON units was later mounted onto the mobile suit.The word 'Dreadnought' means a fearless person, and officially, it was selected as the name of this mobile suit to convey the wish that it would be a fearless machine that protects the PLANTs. However, at the development site, it was joked that the name refers to the mobile suit's pilot, who borne increased risk as the machine has a dangerous nuclear engine. Despite this joke, the Dreadnought is said to be safe as sufficient protection is built-in. With the X-shaped backpack, the Dreadnought is also called 'X Astray', but it is unrelated to the Astray series mobile suits. The 'X' is a reference to the shape of its backpack, while 'Astray' is derived from the fact that although the Dreadnought was meant to be a weapon for killing, its pilot, Prayer Reverie, wanted to use it for saving lives instead.

GAT-01A1+AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Dagger is a mobile suit introduced in the original design series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV. It is most notably piloted by Morgan Chevalier. A variant of the GAT-01A1 Dagger (aka 105 Dagger) piloted by the "Moonlight Mad Dog", Morgan Chevalier. The Gunbarrel Dagger mounts the AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Striker as a Striker Pack, granting the suit usage of the remote controlled Wired Gunbarrels (which could only be controlled by individuals with high spatial awareness, like Morgan) and perhaps the Striker's Gatling gun, in addition to the Dagger's standard weaponry. The Gunbarrel Striker can be automated or piloted, and if it is the latter, the front section can be detached after the Striker Pack docks to the Dagger's back, which make sense as the unit's pilot is useless after the pack docks with the MS. In fact, this is what Morgan often does if the pack is delivered in battle by a pilot. As the wires of the wired gunbarrels can be easily severed during combat, a backup Gunbarrel Striker is always prepared in advance and send out when almost all the wired gunbarrels have been severed or destroyed.
