Mobile Suit Gundam SEED

The GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Orga Sabnak. One of three second-generation GAT-X machines, Calamity is built on the X100-series frame and inherits GAT-X103 Buster Gundam's artillery attack concept. It can also be used to provide support from the rear and is armed with several powerful range weapons, but it completely lacks any close combat weaponry. Its armament consisted of two back-mounted high-energy long-range beam cannons, a chest-mounted multi-phase energy cannon, 2-barrel ram cannon equipped shield attached to the left arm and a hand-carried plasma-sabot bazooka. Due to its Trans-Phase armor, a more energy-efficient form of the Phase Shift armor, Calamity has a longer operational time than the first generation GAT-X machines and also has more energy for its power-hungry beam weapons. With the powerful thrusters installed around the body, it can hover over deserts or bodies of water easily. However, as it lacks true flight capability within the atmosphere, it often has to ride on top of GAT-X370 Raider Gundam when the latter is in MA mode to keep up with its flight-capable sister units when moving to the combat zone. In this configuration, Calamity uses Raider much like ZAFT suits use the Guul subflight lifter. The control system of the Calamity is very complex and its customized OS can only be used by the "Biological CPU".

The NOG-M1A1 Black Knight Squad Shi-ve.A is a mobile suit introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. An advanced high-performance mobile suit developed by the Kingdom of Foundation using ZAFT technology, designed to specialize in close combat. It utilizes many advanced technologies, such as the new Femto Technology Armor to defend against beam weaponry.

The STTS-909 Rising Freedom Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. Using all previous operational data from the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, the unit was designed incorporating transformation technology acquired by Orb through the MVF-M11C Murasame. Also, its weapons are developed and manufactured from PLANT, and latest technologies from various countries and organizations are used to develop this unit. It shares a frame with the STTS-808 Immortal Justice Gundam, as well as containing the same panoramic monitor cockpit and OS. This state-of-the-art mobile suit is also remarkable in that it is even more compact in size than previous Freedom units. Its equipment mainly consists of long-distance combat armament, with Variable Phase Shift Armor (VPS Armor) that can neutralize physical ammunition. With its common frame as a base, equipment may be changed depending on usage needs, making this a multi-role unit capable of utilizing numerous variations.Unlike its predecessors, the Rising Freedom Gundam is battery-powered, necessitating the use of various measures to conserve power for its energy-intensive loadout.

The FX-550 Skygrasper is an aerial support fighter introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. The Skygrasper was a fighter aircraft originally designed to support the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam. To fulfill this role, it was given the ability to mount the Strike Gundam's Striker Packs so as to deliver them to the mobile suit during combat, and this removes the need for the mobile suit to return to the hangar of its mothership for re-equipping. In addition, the Skygrasper can utilize many of the Packs' weapons and equipment, such as the Aile Striker's thrusters for additional speed and agility, the Sword Striker's anti-ship sword and rocket anchor for close range attacks, and the Launcher Striker's beam cannon for enhanced long-range firepower, allowing it to provide fire support for the Strike Gundam.On its own, the Skygrasper is armed with a turret-mounted beam cannon, two medium caliber cannons, four machine guns, and can launch anti-ship missiles, bombs, etc from the two weapons bays, making it a very capable air superiority fighter in its own right. In fact, the combination of these weapons and the Skygrasper's maneuverability grant it combat capabilities on par with most mobile suits. Like its predecessor, the F-7D Spearhead, the Skygrasper is capable of VTOL. The Skygrasper was eventually put into mass production by the Earth Alliance to support the Dagger series mobile suits that could utilize Striker Packs. These mass production units are mostly identical to the original two units assigned to support the Strike Gundam, except in their color schemes, where they are painted in gray and yellow instead of the original's brighter colors.

The ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam (aka Infinite Justice, Justice) is the successor to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. Developed as a successor to the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam also incorporates technology from ZAFT's Second Stage Series such as the Variable Phase Shift armor. Adjustments were made to reflect Athrun Zala's combat data, practically making the ∞ Justice his dedicated mobile suit. The ∞ Justice's close combat capability is enhanced over its predecessor's and is armed with a number of unique weapons such as leg beam blades and a carrier beam shield that is a combination of a beam shield, a beam boomerang and a grapple stinger.The ∞ Justice carries on its back a flight unit that can be deployed as a separate support unit/subflight unit. This Fatum-01 is an improved version of the original Justice's Fatum-00 with higher overall performance, and is armed with a pair of beam cannons as well as several beam blades. The suit can dock with the METEOR unit for additional firepower as well as speed, and can fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously using the Multi Lock-On System. As with the Justice, ∞ Justice is design to operate alongside another mobile suit, in this case, the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, and is stationed on board the warship Eternal. Like the Strike Freedom, the ∞ Justice is equipped with Neutron Jammer Canceller, Hyper-Deuterion Engine, and has joints as well as inner frame made of PS armor materials.The Hyper-Deuterion Engine is a new type of nuclear reactor and due to its massive output, the ∞ Justice has extremely high mobility and maneuverability. Meanwhile, the phase-shifting of its joints and inner frame as a result of the PS armor materials give them strength and near human flexibility while also enhancing the suit's combat abilities. Additionally, the ∞ Justice is able to discharge excess residual energy within the body through the joints' glowing effect, which is silver instead of Strike Freedom's gold. The ∞ Justice has a shorter V-fin than its predecessor as the performance of the sensor unit within the head crest has been greatly enhanced.

The STTS-808 Immortal Justice Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the animated film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom. Using all previous operational data from the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam, the unit was designed incorporating convertible technology acquired by Orb through the MVF-M11C Murasame. It shares a frame with the STTS-909 Rising Freedom Gundam, as well as containing the same panoramic monitor cockpit and OS. The DF2Mk3 Skydart lifter system on the unit's back has greater thrust and mobility than the ∞ Justice Gundam's lifter. The name "Immortal" implies that this unit parallels the Eternal, support ship of the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam.Unlike its predecessors, the Immortal Justice Gundam is battery-powered, necessitating the use of various measures to conserve power for its energy-intensive loadout.

The ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Rey Za Burrel. The direct successor of the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam, the Legend Gundam, unlike its predecessor, was designed with the use of the DRAGOON System in mind. As such, the layout and structure of its DRAGOON System was greatly improved. In addition, improvements in the operating system allowed pilots without high spatial awareness to use the DRAGOONs as well. Thanks to the two pairs of blade antennas on its head, the Legend Gundam also had enhanced intelligence gathering capabilities compared to its predecessor.Developed as part of the Third Stage Series, the Legend Gundam's output far surpassed the Second Stage Series units due to its use of the Hyper-Deuterion Engine, a hybrid of nuclear power and the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. However, since the Junius Treaty banned the use of nuclear engines, it was classified as part of the Second Stage Series due to political concerns (hence the "S" at the end of its model number).In addition to the DRAGOONs, the Legend was armed with the MA-BAR78F high energy beam rifle, an improved version of the Providence's MA-M221 "Judicium" beam rifle, as well as a pair of MA-M80S Defiant Kai beam javelin, which could be connected to form a double-bladed beam saber known as the "ambidextrous halberd". It also had a pair of head-mounted CIWS, and like the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam, was equipped with a pair of MX2351 "Solidus Fulgor" beam shield generators behind its hands for defense.

The ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper is a prototype heavy mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Hilda Harken, Mars Simeon and Herbert Von Reinhard. A modified design of ZAFT's ZGMF-XX09T DOM Trooper Original Spec Type, the DOM Trooper is armed with an enhanced beam saber stored on the back-mounted EZ Wizard, a "Screaming Nimbus" in the abdomen, a handheld "Giga-launcher" capable of firing physical projectiles and high-powered beams, and a pair of shoulder-mounted CIWS. The DOM Trooper also mounts a defensive "Solidus Fulgor" beam shield generator, the same type used by ZAFT's ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam and ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam, on each forearm. Its large body and legs mount numerous thrusters, giving the DOM Trooper excellent mobility in spite of its bulk. It also possesses a hovering system built into its legs for moving rapidly over land. As seen in the series, the DOM Troopers' capabilities far exceeds that of the mass production suits of ZAFT.A trio of DOM Troopers can utilize a special attack known as "Jet Stream Attack", which allows them to combine the power of three mobile suits into one through a highly synchronized attack. This maneuver involves the three units attacking in rapid succession, with each using a different weapon, and the lead pilot activating the "Screaming Nimbus". The "Screaming Nimbus" produces a "cloud" of particles with both offensive and defensive capabilities that spread out to form a barrier around the DOM Troopers. This has the end effect of allowing the DOM Trooper to tear through groups of enemy units with ease while still having a certain level of defense from enemy fire.

The HG Meteor Unit + Freedom Gundam is a 1/144 scale model kit from the Gundam SEED anime. The model is 22 inches long and doesn't require glue to build. It includes a new color version of the Freedom Gundam, which is fully articulated and has missile hatch openings and closures. The model also has large beam cannons that can tilt when docked. The Meteor Unit can be displayed on its stand and has effect parts that replicate the Beam Swords activated. The missile launcher hatches on the sides and back of the model can also be opened.

The GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the HD Remaster version of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is the heavy armed variant of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam and is piloted by Mu La Flaga. The Perfect Strike Gundam is a configuration of the Strike Gundam equipped with the "AQM/E-YM1 Multiple Assault Striker", which integrates the characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs. A modified Aile Striker Pack served as the central unit of the Multiple Assault Striker, its main wings are moved back slightly for mounting the "Schwert Gewehr" Anti-Ship Sword and "Agni" Hyper Impulse Cannon, and four battery packs are attached to the back to deal with the increased energy consumption.Although the Multiple Assault Striker enabled the Perfect Strike to fight in all ranges with powerful weapons, it has two major problems. Firstly, the added weight of the Multiple Assault Striker lead to a decrease in mobility, and secondly, the large variety of weapons make it difficult to operate them efficiently. Due to these issues, the Perfect Strike was only deployed in combat once, but it was able to exhibit high operability due to the skills of its pilot, Mu La Flaga.

The GAT-X370 Raider Gundam is a transformable Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Clotho Buer. The Raider is a transformable mobile suit and the only second generation GAT-X machine to adopt the X300-series frame used by the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam. Compared to the Aegis, Raider has improved anti-mobile suit capabilities when in MA mode and its transformation system is greatly simplified. It is actually a variant of the GAT-333 Raider Full Spec and maintains some of its predecessor's characteristics, like a MA mode specialized for flight and the two large fighter plane-like main wings that give it full atmospheric flight capabilities. These wings also boost Raider's turning capabilities and acceleration speed on earth and in space, as well as allow it to serve as a subflight lifter unit for carrying other mobile suits (usually the GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam). During battles, Raider often utilizes hit-and-run attacks and has Trans-Phase armor like the other second generation machines. The Raider is armed with both energy and shell-firing weapons (with some of them being usable only in flight mode) and uses the "Mjolnir" Spherical Breaker, a wire tethered mace, as its handheld weapon.

The GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Shani Andras. A second generation GAT-X machine, the Forbidden is designed for infiltrating and raiding enemy bases and to fulfil this role, it can transform into a "High-Speed Assault Form" by flipping its huge backpack unit over its head. Like the other two second generation units, the Forbidden is equipped with Trans-Phase armor (TP armor). Its armaments consists of head-mounted CIWS, forearm-mounted machine guns, a handheld scythe and backpack-mounted railguns and plasma cannon, both of which are usable only in "High-Speed Assault Form".As indicated by its model code, the Forbidden utilizes a X200-series frame like the GAT-X207 Blitz Gundam, and as such it is also equipped with special equipment. One special equipment is the "Geschmeidig Panzer" energy deflection armor installed in its two massive shields. This equipment can deflect any range beam attacks that hits it, making the Forbidden virtually invulnerable to these attacks. Coupled with the fact that the shields themselves also have TP armor, the Forbidden is thus well protected from most beam and physical attacks. In addition, the "Geschmeidig Panzer" also allows the Forbidden to move underwater with ease, even though it is not specifically designed for aquatic use.Another special equipment is the magnetic field generators installed on the railguns, they allow the bending of the plasma cannon's beam, making the attack harder to evade. Due to the powerful thrusters in the backpack, which is actually a specialized flight unit, the Forbidden can fly in the atmosphere and is one of the rare mobile suits to be capable of both aerial and aquatic combat without any additional equipment.

The CGUE DEEP Arms is a variant of the ZGMF-515 CGUE introduced in the side story Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV. One unit is piloted by Shiho Hahnenfuss. The CGUE DEEP Arms (DEEP standing for Directional Energy Emission exPerimental) is a mobile suit based on the ZGMF-515 CGUE. It is created to test the beam weapon technology that ZAFT obtained from the four stolen G Project mobile suits, and is thus equipped with a pair of experimental beam cannons that are over 10 meters in length. The cannons' large size is due to the presence of a large beam-generating unit and large cooling systems. These cannons also placed an additional burden on the suit's body. To cope with it, existing power and cooling units are replaced by newer, high-output ones, and additional units are installed in the backpack.Although the beam cannons' cooling issue is not adequately solved, their performance reached acceptable levels, and data gained during their usage is used by ZAFT to develop subsequent beam weapons. Besides the cannons, the CGUE DEEP Arms' armaments include a heavy laser sword, a long physical sword with a laser edge, and the standard machine gun used by the original CGUE. The suit also has modified shoulders and leg units, while the head-mounted fin-shaped sensor array has been enlarged to improve the precision of the beam cannons' fire and the accuracy of the suit's attack while it is hiding behind cover.

The GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. Designated as the commander unit of the Alliance's G Project due to its enhanced communication and analysis capabilities, Aegis also has heavy attack power as well as Phase Shift armor and can transform into a mobile armor (MA) due to its X300-series frame. In MA mode, it has two different sub modes, 'Cruise' and 'Attack'. When in 'MA Cruise Mode', Aegis has higher speed and acceleration, while in 'MA Attack Mode', it can destroy enemy ship/mobile suit with its "Scylla" 580mm energy cannon directly or grab onto them with its four limbs first then destroy them using the cannon. Other weaponry includes two head-mounted CIWS, a hand-held beam rifle, a shield and a beam saber in each limb.Aegis also has a large sensor unit at the top of its head and unlike most suits, its main thrusters seem to be located in the side binders on its waist. Due to the transformation system, Aegis's internal structure is more complex and it is for this reason that there are no mass production variants of the suit. The three different modes (MS Mode, MA Cruise Mode and MA Attack Mode) also means that Aegis's pilot needs to have higher skills to be able to use the suit effectively.

The YMF-X000A Dreadnought Gundam (aka Dreadnaught, X Astray) is a Mobile Suit introduced in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray. Its main pilot is Prayer Reverie. Based on technology stolen from the Earth Alliance, the Dreadnought was jointly developed by PLANT's three primary military design bureaus: Clarke, Asimov, and Heinlein. It was a testbed for ZAFT's newly developed Neutron Jammer Canceller, which allowed the use of nuclear power under Neutron Jammer interference, making it the first mobile suit to be powered by a nuclear engine. The Dreadnought's Neutron Jammer Canceller was installed in its head, unlike the later nuclear-powered mobile suits that were developed using its data. Therefore, while its head was a custom made, Gundam type head, its body reused many parts from the ZGMF-600 GuAIZ to shorten its development time. Additionally, several of its weapons were based on those used by the GuAIZ.Due to its prototype nature, the Dreadnought's Neutron Jammer Canceller has a greater effective range than later units. Instead of being confined to the Dreadnought's nuclear engine, it also allowed nuclear reactions to occur nearby. Taking advantage of the nuclear engine's high output, the Dreadnought was equipped with the Phase Shift armor and the new DRAGOON System, both of which consume massive amount of power. In case the Neutron Jammer Canceller is missing or inoperable, the Dreadnought could still function using its internal battery, though it was unable to use the Phase Shift armor in this state.The DRAGOON System (Disconnected Rapid Armament Group Overlook Operation Network System) is similar in concept to the Wired Gunbarrels equipped by the Alliance's TS-MA2mod.00 Moebius Zero, but its remote weaponry are controlled wirelessly via quantum communication, which is immune to the Neutron Jammers' disruptive effects. The power intensive nature of the DRAGOON System is attributed to the quantum communication. Like the Wired Gunbarrels, the DRAGOON System can only be operated by pilots who have a high level of spatial awareness. Initially, the Dreadnought's remote weaponry only consisted of two waisted-mounted XM1 "Pristis" Beam Reamers, it gained more remote weaponry when a large, X-shaped backpack armed with four DRAGOON units was later mounted onto the mobile suit.The word 'Dreadnought' means a fearless person, and officially, it was selected as the name of this mobile suit to convey the wish that it would be a fearless machine that protects the PLANTs. However, at the development site, it was joked that the name refers to the mobile suit's pilot, who borne increased risk as the machine has a dangerous nuclear engine. Despite this joke, the Dreadnought is said to be safe as sufficient protection is built-in. With the X-shaped backpack, the Dreadnought is also called 'X Astray', but it is unrelated to the Astray series mobile suits. The 'X' is a reference to the shape of its backpack, while 'Astray' is derived from the fact that although the Dreadnought was meant to be a weapon for killing, its pilot, Prayer Reverie, wanted to use it for saving lives instead.

The MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame is a Mobile Suit introduced in the manga series Gundam SEED Astray and featured in the photo-novel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray B. It is piloted by Gai Murakumo. The MBF-P03 Astray Blue Frame was one of five identical prototype combat mobile suits developed using stolen data from the Earth Alliance's G Project and was designated for testing optional equipment. Its computer contains data and blueprints for various optional equipment. Most of the technology from the G Project was successfully copied with the exception of Phase Shift armor. In its place the Astrays' designers made the machines out of a lighter foaming metal compound and were built with minimal armor over the frame. This made the Astray mobile suits lighter and faster than their G Project counterparts.Originally, the Astray Blue Frame was armed with the standard armament of the other prototype Astray suits. These weapons include two head-mounted "Igelstellung" 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, two back-mounted beam sabers for close combat, a Type 71 beam rifle, and a single physical shield. However its mercenary pilot used his resources to outfit the Astray Blue Frame with a wide variety of equipment to suit multiple combat situations and to meet the needs of different mission. Like the other prototype Astray suits, Astray Blue Frame's backpack can be lowered to the back skirt armor, allowing the mounting of additional equipment on its back.

The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Shinn Asuka and later by Lunamaria Hawke. The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam equipped with the α Force Silhouette pack. The Force Impulse is a general purpose MS like the original Impulse, but has extremely high mobility under gravity and in zero gravity due to the Force Silhouette's high output thrusters and large wings. This pack also enables atmospheric flight, and adds a pair of beam sabers to the Impulse's standard armaments, granting the Force Impulse high melee and ranged combat capabilities. The Force Impulse is the most commonly used form of the Impulse due to its high versatility, and it is said that its aerial combat capabilities are equivalent to the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam's. The Force Impulse retains the same VPS colors as the original Impulse.

The MBF-02 Strike Rouge is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It reappeared in the sequel series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Its primary pilot is the Princess of Orb Cagalli Yula Athha. A mobile suit built using spare parts for the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam that were produced while it was repaired at Orb. Strike Rouge is almost an identical copy of the original Strike Gundam and features the same weaponry as well as the ability to use the Striker Packs. The most commonly used Striker Pack is the Aile Striker, other Striker Packs used by the suit include the Integrated Weapons Striker Pack (IWSP) and the Ootori Pack. The main differences between Strike Rouge and Strike is that the former is equipped with an AI support system and a power extender that increase the operational time, and is responsible for the red-shifting of the phase-shifted colors.

The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam (aka Strike Freedom, Freedom) is the successor of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Kira Yamato.
