Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeta Gundam

HG 1/144 HGUC RGM-89 Jegan
Bandai
$20.00The RGM-89 Jegan is a mass-produced general-purpose mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. A state-of-the-art machine adopted by the Earth Federation Forces in U.C. 0089 as its main force mobile suit, the Jegan comes from the lineage of the RGM-79 GM as inferred by its "RGM" model number. However, it was not developed by the Earth Federation Forces' own engineers like most previous RGM series mobile suit. Instead, it was produced and supplied by the Anaheim Electronics (AE). Created through combining the Earth Federation Forces' expertise of the GM series with AE's MS development technologies, the Jegan's performance is significantly higher than the RGM-86R GM III. It also has improved productivity due to the use of Titanium Alloy Ceramic Composite armor, as well as high operability, and excellent versatility. All these allows it to become the "next-generation standard MS", and it operated as the main force MS for a long period of time. Several variations of the MS were also developed. The original Jegan is sometimes referred to as "Jegan Type-A" to differentiate it from later variants, and should not be confused with the later RGM-89R Jegan A-Type.The Jegan highly exemplified the original concept of MS being "mobile infantry for melee combat", and is designed for close combat in and around space colonies. It can also operate under gravity without any modifications. With a backpack containing a single main thruster, two small thrusters at the bottom, and two articulated vernier arms at the top, the Jegan's thrust and acceleration performance could match-high mobility-type machines from the Gryps War-era. Its backpack also featured exchangeable propellant tanks. Also notable are the verniers for attitude controls on the front shoulder armor, enlarged centre shoulder armor sections to fit the side thrusters, and a calf-mounted thruster on each leg. The use of lightened armor grants the machine high maneuverability, its front skirt armor is removed to maintain the legs' range of articulation, while its head has a long-range sensor installed in the forehead in addition to the fixed main sensors. The Jegan is armed with mainly short-range weaponry, including a beam saber, a short-range type beam rifle, three hand grenades, a vulcan pod system, and a shield with twin missile launchers.

HG 1/144 HGUC RGM-96X Jesta Cannon
Bandai
$25.00The RGM-96X Jesta Cannon is a mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and used by the Londo Bell task force. Like its base unit, the RGM-89 Jegan, the RGM-96X Jesta can adapt to different needs through the use of dedicated option parts, resulting in multiple variants. An example of this is the Jesta Cannon, a heavy armed variant with enhanced firepower via the addition of a beam cannon, a quadruple multi-launcher, more hand grenades and an enhanced beam rifle. It also has added body armor, including an arm-mounted shield, but their placement is kept to a minimum after considering weight balance. When needed, the added armor can be purged instantly using explosive bolts. To handle the added weapons, the Jesta Cannon's fire control systems has been improved. Not only can the Jesta Cannon served as a mid-range fire support unit, which is a function synonymous with mobile suits that have the word "Cannon" in their name, it can also fight at the frontlines without any issues due to its enhanced offensive capabilities. The Londo Bell flagship, Ra Cailum, that is carrying 12 Jestas for evaluation tests is also loaded with sufficient parts for converting 5 of them into the Jesta Cannon.

HG 1/144 HGUC RX-105 Xi Gundam
Bandai
$71.00The RX-105 Ξ Gundam, also known as the Xi Gundam (Ξクスィー ガンダム Kusī Gundam?, "Ksi Gundam") , is a mobile suit that appears in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway movie. Procured by the Anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty for the attack on the Adelaide conference , it was piloted by Mafty Navue Erin .It and the RX-104FF Penelope were classified as fifth-generation MS and are said to have been developed and constructed by Anaheim Electronics. It was a unique MS with a built-in Minovsky Flight Unit and was equipped with the latest Beam Barrier system. Since the Penelope relied on optional units to obtain similar functions, it can be said that the Xi Gundam was a truly completed fifth-generation MS that could function independently. Furthermore, it was armed with standard equipment such as a Beam Rifle and Shield, as well as Funnel Missiles that made it a unique, heavily armed unit. The large arms were also one of its iconic external features and the forearms also functioned as containers for Triple Missiles. The Xi Gundam was an MS of an extremely high degree of perfection which fought against the Penelope and the Circe Unit with Hathaway Noa as its pilot .

HG 1/144 HGUC RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (AEUG)
Bandai
$20.00The RX-178 Gundam Mk-II is a mobile suit introduced in the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It is a successor of the famous RX-78-2 Gundam that served in the One Year War. A direct descendant of the RX-78-2 Gundam developed by the Titans, the Gundam Mk-II is the first mobile suit to utilize the new movable frame concept. In this new concept, rather than merely serving as a structural framework, the movable frame incorporates all the mobile suit's vital mechanisms, including the actuators and control systems required for movement, and excludes the mobile suit's weapons, armor, and propellant tanks. This approach dramatically improves the mobile suit's responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency, as well as making it far more agile than traditional designs.Another characteristic of the Gundam Mk-II is that some of its legs' movable parts are exposed and this design feature is based on the prevailing idea at that time that avoiding being hit by the enemy is the preferable choice. The origin for this idea is because no existing armor can fully protect against beam weaponry, thus it is better to increase the mobile suit's mobility by weight reduction rather than equip more armor which would lead to a higher weight and lower mobility. The mobile suit also has what had become the standard 360-degree panoramic screen and linear seat fitted in a circular cockpit that also functions as an escape pod. The multiple panels of the panoramic screen make up a single 360-degree display, covering the entire inner surface of the cockpit. The image displayed on this screen is a computer simulation constructed from the cameras distributed around the mobile suit's exterior. The viewpoint is that of the mobile suit's head, and the image is carefully edited to remove the mobile suit itself. The linear seat is suspended in the center of the cockpit, supported by a linear arm which electromagnetically counters G-forces and impact shocks in order to protect the pilot. Together, the panoramic screen and the linear seat gives the pilot a larger field of view and eliminates blind spots. The most notable flaw of the Gundam Mk-II is that it is armored using the obsolete titanium alloy ceramic composite. Another flaw is that the movable frame's leg sections have rigidity issues associated with the strength of the structural material used, and this problem persisted even after six design revisions. Despite this, for a brief time period, the Gundam Mk-II's movable frame makes it one of the most agile mobile suits available. Three Gundam Mk-II were produced in total. They were later stolen by the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) and given a new paint scheme. Despite being used by two different factions, the Gundam Mk-II's weaponry remains mostly unchanged. Its only fixed weapons are two beam sabers, but it can carry a vulcan pod, a shield, a beam rifle, a hyper bazooka and a clay bazooka if necessary.

HG HGUC 1/144 RGM-96X Jesta Gundam
Bandai
$21.00The RGM-96X Jesta is a mobile suit based on the RGM-89 Jegan, and it is introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The Jesta is a high performance special operations mobile suit of the Jegan series developed by Anaheim Electronics to escort the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, as the Unicorn Gundam's operating time in its Destroy Mode is limited. Aside from escorting the Unicorn Gundam, the Jesta's intended mission also consisted of dispatching ordinary enemy forces, creating "situations" in which the Unicorn Gundam can directly confront and destroy enemy Newtype weapons. The Jesta is fitted with a backpack capable of tremendous thrust so as to keep up with the Unicorn Gundam. Although the Jesta's weapon loadout is similar to the Jegan's, it features improved and more advanced weapons, such as the customized beam rifle and backpack-mounted movable shield, which like the Jegan's shield, contains four missiles. In addition to its advanced weaponry, the Jesta also carries three spare magazines for the beam rifle on the right forearm, and a beam saber on its left forearm.Although intended to be an escort unit, the Jesta's performance surpasses most Federation mobile suits of its time, overwhelmingly exceeding the Jegan type of the same period, with its performance reaching 90% of the RX-93 ν Gundam's. The Jesta is essentially a product of the UC Project, however this fact has been kept hidden even within the Earth Federation Forces.

MG 1/100 MS-18E Kampfer
Bandai
$49.00The MS-18E Kämpfer (ケンプファー Kenpufā?) is a heavy assault mobile suit featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket OVA. It was piloted by Mikhail Kaminsky of Zeon's Cyclops Team during the One Year War. The "E" in the MS-18E Kämpfer's model number was an abbreviation for the German word "Einhauen," which translates to "one strike." "One strike" summed up the suit's role as a fast assault unit that was meant to strike quickly, cause massive damage with its varied weapons loadout, and make a fast escape. The Kämpfer was a very focused design, never intended to work outside of its role. Within this role it was an exceptional unit, rivaling the Federation's RX series in firepower and speed. It was equipped with numerous thrusters and verniers to achieve high maneuverability. Conversely, the large number of thrusters resulted in higher fuel consumption rate, limiting its operational time. The Kämpfer's design opted for minimal armor, even removing the hip-mounted skirt armor found on most mobile suits. The choice of conventional shell-based weapons rather than beam weapons was made to reduce the drain on its reactor and resultant drop in speed. Weapon racks were designed to be ejected from the unit as they were expended, minimizing dead weight. The Kämpfer was intended to be operated by special forces, and was built to be easily disassembled and reassembled in blocks, aiding in its infiltration behind enemy lines.

MG 1/100 MSA-0011 [Ext] Ex-S Gundam/MSA-0011 S Gundam
Bandai
$142.00The MSA-0011[Ext] Ex-S Gundam (aka Extraordinary-Superior Gundam) is an upgraded version of the MSA-0011 S Gundam that appears in Gundam Sentinel. It is piloted by Ryou Roots. By adding several new armor, weapons, and engine modules the engineers of Task Force Alpha's Pegasus III were able to upgrade the MSA-0011 S Gundam into the Ex-S Gundam. The Ex-S Gundam still had three cockpits, but Ryou Roots was the only person who piloted the mobile suit, and due to Ryou's poor piloting skills, it was up to ALICE, the Ex-S Gundam's highly advanced artificial intelligence combat computer, to do most of the fighting against more skilled opponents. With ALICE functioning as the co-pilot of the Ex-S Gundam, "she" was constantly getting more advanced. ALICE was constantly growing in comprehension and depth, and was swiftly evolving into something more akin to a fully rationalizing and thinking creature than a simple machine. ALICE could take full control of the Ex-S Gundam and its various components and weapons at any time, and would begin to do so constantly at times when "she" felt the Ex-S or Ryou were threatened. ALICE proved to be a useful co-pilot of the Ex-S Gundam, and was more than capable of compensating for Ryou's lack of skill. For defensive purposes, the Ex-S Gundam featured additional armor on the front of the chest which afforded extra protection for the first two cockpits. This extra chest armor also featured an I-Field generator which created an invisible barrier of Minovsky Particles around the Ex-S Gundam's cockpit block, protecting it from ranged beam attacks. Additional armor added onto the front of the torso also protected the third cockpit, while extra armor on both sides of the legs featured more verniers, additional propellant tanks, and thrusters. Two new large thruster units were mounted on the Ex-S Gundam's back, giving it incredible thrust and speed. Two large caliber beam cannons were mounted on both thruster units, giving the Ex-S Gundam two more back beam cannons than the S Gundam. The Ex-S Gundam's beam smart rifle was now attached to the front torso of the mobile suit instead of the hips, making room for the two hip beam cannons that were optional on the S Gundam to be attached to the sides of the Ex-S Gundam's waist permanently. The Ex-S Gundam's head featured four 60mm vulcan guns, while four additional 60mm vulcans were mounted on the tail stabilizer attached to the back. The Ex-S Gundam also had remote weaponry in the form of an INCOM, a small wire-guided red disc stored in the Ex-S Gundam's forehead that could fire beams when deployed. The Ex-S Gundam also featured two reflector INCOMs, stored in the large knee armor, which could be deployed and guided by wire like a standard INCOM. Reflector INCOMs do not fire beams but instead reflect beam fired from the Ex-S Gundam or another unit, and redirect it in another direction. Lastly, for use in melee combat situations, the Ex-S Gundam featured two beam sabers, also stored in the knee armor.Like its predecessor, the Ex-S Gundam was also capable of transforming into a waverider mode of sorts, but unlike the S Gundam, which divided into three separate components, the Ex-S Gundam changes into one large unit called the G-Cruiser. For its size, the G-Cruiser was incredibly fast and used for travelling over a great distance in a short amount of time. To conserve the fuel of the Ex-S Gundam for use in combat situations, the G-Cruiser had two large propellant tanks mounted in the front over the Ex-S Gundam's shoulders. These extra fuel tanks would be jettisoned when the G-Cruiser reaches the battlefield and transforms into the Ex-S Gundam.

MG 1/100 MSA-003 NEMO
Bandai
$37.00The MSA-003 Nemo is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Its design was later updated for the light novel/OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Based on the Earth Federation Forces's RMS-179 GM II, the MSA-003 Nemo is a mass-production general-purpose mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics for the AEUG. As Anaheim Electronics had bought over Zeonic Corps that worked for the Principality of Zeon, its mobile suit technology has Zeon influences and as a result, the Nemo has a mixture of both Zeonic and Federation technologies.Like most other mobile suits created during the Gryps War, the Nemo has an internal movable frame. Its movable frame is of a new design and reflects the data gained by Anaheim Electronics from the development of the RMS-099 Rick Dias and the MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki. Thanks to this movable frame, the Nemo has high versatility and can operate in various environments such as zero-gravity, tropical regions, and cold climates. In addition, its legs' movable frame enables high mobility regardless of the environment, and as a result of considering Earth descent operations, it has a highly flexible structure with excellent drop and impact resistance. The Nemo's thrusters layout is designed using the RGM-79SP GM Sniper II's as a reference and this is due to part of the Nemo's development staff having worked on the latter during the One Year War.Compared to the GM II's titanium alloy ceramic composite, the Nemo has a more durable Gundarium alloy armor. As this armor is produced using the same technology as the RMS-108 Marasai's (another Anaheim Electronics' mobile suit, but provided to the Titans), it has high cost-effectiveness. Most of the Nemo's armaments are the same as those used by existing MS, and it could also use other armaments made by the Federation or Zeon. The Nemo was also relatively easy to pilot even for less skilled recruits, and overall, it was an excellent machine with performance superior to the GM II and RMS-106 Hizack.

MG 1/100 RGM-96X Jesta Gundam
Bandai
$42.00The RGM-96X Jesta is a mobile suit based on the RGM-89 Jegan, and it is introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The Jesta is essentially a product of the UC Project, however this fact has been kept hidden even within the Earth Federation Forces.

MG 1/100 RMS-099 Rick Dias Quattro
Bandai
$44.00The RMS-099 Rick Dias (RMS-099 リック・ディアス Rikku Diasu?) is a second-generation mass-production attack-use mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Developed by Anaheim Electronics, the RMS-099 (MSA-099, MSA-009) Rick Dias became one of the first mass-produced mobile suits of the AEUG's Zeta Project for their fight against the corrupt Titans. Because many engineers who worked on the Rick Dias were former Principality of Zeon members, the Rick Dias featured many similarities to Zeon mobile suits such as a mono-eye sensor. Originally, the Rick Dias ("Dias" is derived from Bartolomeu Dias, the Portuguese explorer who first rounded the Cape of Good Hope) was supposed to be called γ Gundam (Gamma Gundam) as it is built out of the new Gundarium γ. This material was developed by Axis and has strength similar to standard Gundarium yet weighs less, making the suit lighter and thus allowing it to accommodate a greater fuel capacity. The Rick Dias is one of the earlier mobile suits to use the 360-degree panoramic cockpit, and the first original design to be constructed by the AEUG. One notable feature is that unlike other mobile suits at the time, the cockpit of the Rick Dias is built into its head and not the chest. Built into its hands are specialized launchers that can be used to launch fire-suppressing gas or a binding adhesive. For combat, the Rick Dias can be equipped with a variety of weapons, making it a versatile mobile suit. Among its built-in weapons include 55mm vulcan phalanx in its head and a beam saber stored on the underside of a backpack-mounted rack. For ranged combat, the Rick Dias is equipped with a pair of beam pistols stored in the backpack-mounted rack. It can also be optionally equipped with a clay bazooka and a beam rifle.

MG 1/100 RMS-108 Marasai
Bandai
$49.00The RMS-108 Marasai, also known as the MSA-002 Marasai is a second-generation mobile suit in the Universal Century timeline. It first appeared in the series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. The RMS-108 Marasai was developed using Zeon design principles combined with technology pioneered by the Earth Federation during the One Year War. Technologically based on the RMS-106 Hizack, the Marasai features improved technologies, such as a movable frame, Gundarium Alloy armor instead of a titanium alloy that improves overall defense, greater sensor range, greater acceleration, and a more powerful Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor. It is equipped with high-power thrusters that allow atmospheric flight under gravity for a short period of time.Alongside its technological improvements, the Marasai is also several tons lighter than Hizack when measuring its empty weight. The Marasai did not have as large a weapon selection as the Hizack however, because the Hizack was often equipped with older weapons used by Zakus, such as machine guns and heat hawks, while the Marasai used only advanced beam weapons. The Marasai's standard weapons are a beam rifle, two beam saber, and two head mounted Vulcan guns. A large shield was attached to its right shoulder, much like Zeon's Zaku line of mobile suits.
