Description

The Bandai RG 1/144 Evangelion Unit-01 is a Real Grade snap-fit model kit of the iconic EVA-01 Test Type from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. As the first non-Gundam entry in the Real Grade lineup, this kit introduces innovative linked-parts construction that replicates the relaxation and contraction of muscle fibers for remarkably lifelike articulation. Recommended for intermediate builders due to its detailed construction and small parts. Piloted by Shinji Ikari, Evangelion Unit-01 is the flagship mecha of the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise.

  • Bio-Mechanical Linked Articulation: Chest, abdomen, and back armor parts interlock and shift in unison during forward leans and upward-looking poses, mimicking real muscle movement.
  • Wide Range of Motion: Elbows and knees can bend up to approximately 165 degrees, and internal parts interlink when the neck moves for natural pose expression.
  • Anime-Accurate Color Separation: Advanced molded color technology delivers intricate, screen-accurate coloring straight from the box with no painting required.
  • Shoulder and Spine Linkage: The spine and shoulder blade parts are linked to the armor and follow the movement of the arms and chest, preventing part obstruction.
  • Crouching and Running Poses: Realistic humanoid crouching and running poses can be recreated thanks to knee armor interference reduction and natural joint expression.
  • Entry Plug Gimmick: The Entry Plug can be inserted and removed through the unit's nape, replicating the launch sequence from the series.
  • Realistic Decals Included: A sheet of RG-standard realistic marking decals is included for optional detail enhancement.
