The GAT-X252 Forbidden Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Shani Andras. A second generation GAT-X machine, the Forbidden is designed for infiltrating and raiding enemy bases and to fulfil this role, it can transform into a "High-Speed Assault Form" by flipping its huge backpack unit over its head. One special equipment is the "Geschmeidig Panzer" energy deflection armor installed in its two massive shields. This equipment can deflect any range beam attacks that hits it, making the Forbidden virtually invulnerable to these attacks. Coupled with the fact that the shields themselves also have TP armor, the Forbidden is thus well protected from most beam and physical attacks. In addition, the "Geschmeidig Panzer" also allows the Forbidden to move underwater with ease, even though it is not specifically designed for aquatic use.Another special equipment is the magnetic field generators installed on the railguns, they allow the bending of the plasma cannon's beam, making the attack harder to evade. The RX-178 Gundam Mk-II is a mobile suit introduced in the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It is a successor of the famous RX-78-2 Gundam that served in the One Year War. A direct descendant of the RX-78-2 Gundam developed by the Titans, the Gundam Mk-II is the first mobile suit to utilize the new movable frame concept. In this new concept, rather than merely serving as a structural framework, the movable frame incorporates all the mobile suit's vital mechanisms, including the actuators and control systems required for movement, and excludes the mobile suit's weapons, armor, and propellant tanks. This approach dramatically improves the mobile suit's responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency, as well as making it far more agile than traditional designs.Another characteristic of the Gundam Mk-II is that some of its legs' movable parts are exposed and this design feature is based on the prevailing idea at that time that avoiding being hit by the enemy is the preferable choice. The multiple panels of the panoramic screen make up a single 360-degree display, covering the entire inner surface of the cockpit. The image displayed on this screen is a computer simulation constructed from the cameras distributed around the mobile suit's exterior. The viewpoint is that of the mobile suit's head, and the image is carefully edited to remove the mobile suit itself. The linear seat is suspended in the center of the cockpit, supported by a linear arm which electromagnetically counters G-forces and impact shocks in order to protect the pilot. Together, the panoramic screen and the linear seat gives the pilot a larger field of view and eliminates blind spots.The most notable flaw of the Gundam Mk-II is that it is armored using the obsolete titanium alloy ceramic composite. Another flaw is that the movable frame's leg sections have rigidity issues associated with the strength of the structural material used, and this problem persisted even after six design revisions. Despite this, for a brief time period, the Gundam Mk-II's movable frame makes it one of the most agile mobile suits available. Three Gundam Mk-II were produced in total. The GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by "Biological CPU" Orga Sabnak. One of three second-generation GAT-X machines, Calamity is built on the X100-series frame and inherits GAT-X103 Buster Gundam's artillery attack concept. It can also be used to provide support from the rear and is armed with several powerful range weapons, but it completely lacks any close combat weaponry. Its armament consisted of two back-mounted high-energy long-range beam cannons, a chest-mounted multi-phase energy cannon, 2-barrel ram cannon equipped shield attached to the left arm and a hand-carried plasma-sabot bazooka. Due to its Trans-Phase armor, a more energy-efficient form of the Phase Shift armor, Calamity has a longer operational time than the first generation GAT-X machines and also has more energy for its power-hungry beam weapons. With the powerful thrusters installed around the body, it can hover over deserts or bodies of water easily. However, as it lacks true flight capability within the atmosphere, it often has to ride on top of GAT-X370 Raider Gundam when the latter is in MA mode to keep up with its flight-capable sister units when moving to the combat zone. In this configuration, Calamity uses Raider much like ZAFT suits use the Guul subflight lifter. The control system of the Calamity is very complex and its customized OS can only be used by the "Biological CPU".

The MBF-02+EW454F Strike Rouge Ootori is a variant of MBF-02 Strike Rouge introduced in the HD Remaster of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is primary piloted by Cagalli Yula Athha, and later by Kira Yamato. The Strike Rouge Ootori is the Strike Rouge equipped with the multi-purpose EW454F Ootori Striker, which Morgenroete Inc. has been developing since the first war. The Ootori Striker is a striker pack based on the P202QX IWSP (Integrated Weapons Striker Pack) and is also meant to allow a MS to handle various situations without changing equipment. However, it has a simpler structure leading to better reliability and ease of maintenance.Compared to the Aile Striker, Ootori Striker's flight system is a vast improvement as it is capable of powered flight in the atmosphere. The pack is equipped with a beam launcher, railgun, large anti-ship sword, missile launcher and several wing-mounted missiles. The droptanks on the bottom wings contain a stealth support system that utilizes mirage colloid but not much detail is known. In addition, the Ootori Striker can function as an independent unit when it is separated from the Strike Rouge.

The MSN-06S-2 Sinanju Stein is a mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative and is piloted by Zoltan Akkanen. The MSN-06S Sinanju Stein was developed to test the durability and follow-up capabilities of the Psycho-Frame. Two units of the Mobile Suit, referred to using the development code "Stein 01", were later stolen by the Neo Zeon remnants, the Sleeves. One unit was remodeled as the MSN-06S Sinanju and used as the flagship MS of the organization. In UC 0097, the other unit was seen in the fight over the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex and was embellished with the engravings that became root for the name of The Sleeves.

AMX-004 Qubeley (キュベレイ Kyuberei?) is a mobile suit that appears in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. It is piloted by Haman Karn. The Qubeley is a next generation mobile suit designed for Newtypes that features numerous technological innovations which allow it to fight on par with other advanced mobile suits that appeared during the Gryps Conflict and the First Neo Zeon War. Developed from the data gathered from the MS-09R4 Psycommu Rick Dom "Schnee Weiss" and the AMX-001 Prototype Qubeley, the Qubeley featured four independently movable shoulder binders, two binders per shoulder, to assist in AMBAC (Active Mass Balance Auto Control), granting phenomenal mobility. Though lacking the full range of motion as the arms and legs, these binders bring the Qubeley's total number of movable limbs up to eight. Furthermore, these binders also contain the Qubeley's primary thrusters.The most notable feature of the Qubeley is that it is the first combat mobile suit to be equipped with a mobile suit-sized psycommu system, which is used to control the new remote controlled weaponry known as "Funnels". The prototype featured a similar system, but its psycommu had not been fully miniaturized and the Funnels were stored in its main body, leaving the prototype with a large body that stood 25 meters tall. The system aboard the Qubeley had been perfected and its ten Funnels were stored in a container located in its rear armor, allowing for quicker deployment and recall. The Qubeley lacks the mega particle cannons of the prototype version, replacing them with a pair of dual-purpose beam guns that can double as beam sabers for close combat. Lastly, the Qubeley is one of the first Zeon mobile suits to use a dual-type optical sensor instead of the traditional mono-eye.

The XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (aka Gundam 01, Wing Gundam [Early Type] or Wing Gundam [Ver.Ka.]) is the titular mobile suit of the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers. It was primarily piloted by Heero Yuy. Out of the five original Gundams created for Operation Meteor, Wing Gundam is the most well-balanced in terms of abilities and bears the closest resemblance to their common ancestor: the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero. Like its predecessor, the Wing Gundam can transform into an alternate flight form known as "Bird Mode" and has a powerful Buster Rifle as part of its armaments. However, the "ZERO System" interface (which had technical problems) and other parts considered to be excessive were not included, and the skills of the pilot are needed to make up for the shortfall.The major contributor to Wing's mobility is the pair of wing units on the backpack. These units not only generate lift, but can also change the aerodynamic characteristics of the mobile suit through the movements of their individual panels, supporting a range of speeds from stall to hypersonic. Even in outer space, the wing units exhibit high attitude control capability using both AMBAC and built-in vernier thrusters. By transforming into Bird Mode, Wing Gundam's mobility and movement range are increased further, allowing it to conduct operations that other Gundams could not.

The MS-18E Kämpfer (ケンプファー Kenpufā?) is a heavy assault mobile suit featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket OVA. It was piloted by Mikhail Kaminsky of Zeon's Cyclops Team during the One Year War. The "E" in the MS-18E Kämpfer's model number was an abbreviation for the German word "Einhauen," which translates to "one strike." "One strike" summed up the suit's role as a fast assault unit that was meant to strike quickly, cause massive damage with its varied weapons loadout, and make a fast escape. The Kämpfer was a very focused design, never intended to work outside of its role. Within this role it was an exceptional unit, rivaling the Federation's RX series in firepower and speed. It was equipped with numerous thrusters and verniers to achieve high maneuverability. Conversely, the large number of thrusters resulted in higher fuel consumption rate, limiting its operational time.The Kämpfer's design opted for minimal armor, even removing the hip-mounted skirt armor found on most mobile suits. The choice of conventional shell-based weapons rather than beam weapons was made to reduce the drain on its reactor and resultant drop in speed. Weapon racks were designed to be ejected from the unit as they were expended, minimizing dead weight. The Kämpfer was intended to be operated by special forces, and was built to be easily disassembled and reassembled in blocks, aiding in its infiltration behind enemy lines.

The ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and it is piloted by Athrun Zala. One of ZAFT's five ZGMF-X Gundam units produced in CE 71 using technology derived from the four captured Alliance's Gundam, the Justice Gundam's main feature is the Fatum-00 unit on its back. This complex armament unit normally serves as the main thrusters, granting overwhelming acceleration as well as mobility when deployed horizontally and this configuration is also known as 'High-Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode'. It also grants flight capabilities in the atmosphere and can be deployed as a separate unmanned unit or a subflight unit. It is armed with beam cannons and machine guns.Other weapons of the Justice included beam sabers, beam rifle, shield, beam boomerangs and head-mounted CIWS guns. In comparison to the other ZGMF-X Gundam units, the Justice's armament is relatively simple and pales in firepower compared to its sibling, the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam. However, the Justice's true value lies in its incredible mobility and the various tactics it can employ using the Fatum-00. It can also dock with a support unit, the METEOR unit, for heavier firepower and greater speed, and has an advanced targeting system, the Multi Lock-On System, which allows it to fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously.Justice also has a tall sensor spine on the top of its head, similar to that of the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, and this enhances its ability to collect information in the battlefield. It is designed to be operated alongside the Freedom and for this purpose, the warship Eternal is designed specifically to maintain both suits. Like the four other ZGMF-X Gundam units, Justice is armored with Phase Shift Armor and has virtually unlimited combat endurance as it is powered by a nuclear reactor thanks to the Neutron Jammer Canceller.

The MSN-06S Sinanju (aka Sinanju) is a mobile suit featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel, its OVA adaptation and the television re-cut. A modified version of the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein, it was piloted by Full Frontal. Originally the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein developed by Anaheim Electronics as part of the Earth Federation's "UC Project", its movable frame is partly made from Psycho-Frame materials. This mobile suit was then stolen and modified into the MSN-06S Sinanju by the Neo Zeon remnant group known as "The Sleeves", and became the personal machine of the group's leader, Full Frontal.All of the Gundam-like features (except for the head-mounted vulcan guns) in the Sinanju Stein have been replaced with a Zeonic design and weaponry. Painted in crimson and with gold engraving, the Sinanju looks like the emblem of the Neo Zeon forces embodied. This decoration not only strengthens the armor, but is also said to be a design that is meant to control the organization known as the Neo Zeon remnants. The Sinanju Stein was an experimental machine, so there were some concerns about the armor's resistance to elasticity, but in order to increase the pilot's survival, the beam coating was strengthened from the two-layer structure used in most conventional MS to a five-layer structure, and the entire cockpit block was covered with Luna Titanium X material, and the Sinanju's armor has been strengthened as flagship machine.The Sinanju is also equipped with thrust deflector thrusters shaped like the large wings of a bird of prey, and flexible thrusters on the left and right sides of both legs and shins. Together with the numerous thrusters located all over its body, it is capable of acrobatic maneuvering combat that is impossible for a normal MS to achieve. With its overwhelming combat ability, crimson body, and mono-eye sensor, the Sinanju reminds all who see it of the legendary "Red Comet".

The ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth Rinascimento is a mobile suit that appears in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS Gekko. Developed from the ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth, it is piloted by Argi Mirage. After the ASW-G-29 Gundam Astaroth was restored to 82% of its original configuration, it was stolen and sold. It was eventually recovered from an underground market in the Jupiter Sphere but had lost the majority of its armor and equipment. To replace the missing parts, the suit was fitted with armor and equipment from other mobile suits, returning it to an asymmetrical shape, and was renamed 'Gundam Astaroth Rinascimento'.The design of Astaroth Rinascimento emphasized offensive and defensive power, and is equipped with an enlarged sub knuckle, a new shield arm, and a new weapon known as Bastard Chopper. Volco Warren fitted the suit with weaponry all over its body as a way of providing equipment support to Argi Mirage, who has yet to mature as an MS pilot. The aim is to secure the advantage in combat no matter the situation via the effective use of weaponry. A larger backpack with improved thrust power is also mounted to offset the increase in weight, but with the removal of the boost armors, the suit has become so unbalanced that now Argi is the only one who can properly pilot it.

The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (ユニコーン ガンダム Yunikōn Gandamu, or Unicorn, Unicorn Gundam 01, Singularity One) is the titular prototype mobile suit of the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel, its OVA adaptation and the television re-cut. Developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Earth Federation, it concealed a secret that could shake the future of all humanity, for it was the key to opening Laplace's Box. It is piloted by Banagher Links after the head of the Vist Foundation and his father, Cardeas Vist, entrusted it to him at the dawn of the Third Neo Zeon War in U.C. 0096. Produced as the final part of the E.F.S.F's reorganization plan, the "UC Project", the Unicorn Gundam is a revolutionary design meant to be the main symbol of the project's main goal: to destroy any traces of Zeonism in the Earth Sphere. Thus, not only does it feature a Gundam design, but it also incorporates an anti-Newtype system. Two prototype machines were completed at Anaheim Electronics' factory in Granada. However, when the Vist Foundation took control of the project, they installed a special "La+ Program" OS into the Gundam, turning it into a symbol of possibility by making it the key to finding Laplace's Box: the embodied hope of the Universal Century. Featuring the most advanced mobile suit technology of the time, its performance is unmatched.Incorporating test data from the experimental MSN-06S Sinanju Stein, the Unicorn Gundam's entire frame is built with Psycho-Frame material, drastically increasing the unit's responsiveness and allowing it to be piloted like an extension of the pilot's body. While mobile suits used during the Second Neo Zeon War implemented psycho-frame technology on a limited basis, the Unicorn is the first "full psycho-frame" mobile suit. In some cases, this responsiveness is so high that the machine appears to act on its own without any actions from the pilot. In addition, the Unicorn utilizes a special system known as the "NT-D" (or Newtype Destroyer) which activates the suit's psycho-frame and dramatically increases the suit's performance.In its normal form, the "Unicorn Mode", the Unicorn Gundam's head is similar in appearance to those of Londo Bell's mass-produced mobile suits, with the addition of a single, horn-like antenna on its forehead (which gives it the name "Unicorn"). Destroy Mode is the form when Unicorn Gundam's NT-D System is activated. The transformation is marked by an expansion of the suit's frame. The armor seams separate and lock down into various hard-points, while the newly exposed psycho-frame emits a pinkish-red or greenish (Awakened) glow (attributed to the Psycho-Field phenomenon). In this mode, the Unicorn becomes taller, reveal six more thrusters, and its head transforms to one with standard Gundam features, the visor and face guard retracts into the head to reveal the twin eyes and mouth plate, and the antenna splitting into a V-fin. To prevent its transformation being interrupted, the strength of its I-Field will be increased temporarily. Additionally, a pair of sub-sensors are revealed on the shoulders, and two concealed beam sabers extend out of the backpack.In Destroy Mode, the Unicorn Gundam's psycho-frame scans the pilot's thoughts and directly transmits them to the suit's drive system; in other words, the Unicorn can be controlled by thoughts alone. Additionally, the mode also causes the machine's performance - in thrust, generator output, and sensory radius - to be increased to unmeasurable levels. The NT-D also allows the Unicorn to take control of an enemy's psycommu weapons (also known as "Psycommu Jack") by emitting a Psycho-Field. However, the stress placed on the mind by manipulating an object more than tenfold the size of an average human is extraordinary. Even with the aid of the psycho-frame, the pilot's mind can only endure roughly five minutes of operation before a limiter is activated, deactivating the psycho-frame and returning the mobile suit to its Unicorn Mode.With the performance limiters disengaged, the Unicorn can accelerate up to 20 G's in Destroy Mode; to alleviate such high levels of G forces placed on the pilot, a drug administration system called the "DDS" is fitted on the pilot suit. It suppresses stagnated blood circulation due to high acceleration by administering the drug to the pilot. Furthermore, the DDS activates automatically upon the detection of another Newtype via the "Intention Automatic System".
