RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam
Bandai
$31.00The RX-78-2 Gundam is the titular mobile suit of Mobile Suit Gundam television series. Part of the RX-78 Gundam series, it was built in secret on Side 7. The Gundam would turn the tide of war in favor of the Earth Federation during the One Year War against the Principality of Zeon. It was primarily piloted by Amuro Ray. The Gundam was incredibly advanced for its time. Built from lightweight Luna Titanium Alloy, its frame was both lighter than that of Zeon's mass-produced mobile suits and much sturdier, able to shrug off a MS-06 Zaku II's machine gun fire with little to no damage. Its offensive power was above and beyond that of the Zakus. The Gundam would engage in most battles with its beam rifle, making it the first mobile suit to have firepower equivalent to a battleship's beam cannons. In addition, it made use of two beam sabers, blades of extremely hot plasma which could cut through any metal with ease. Those beam sabers could be extended into a spear-like beam javelin, which could be used to stab into an enemy from a longer distance. The Gundam also used more conventional weaponry; it could launch rockets with a "Hyper Bazooka", the Federation's answer to the bazookas used by Zeon's Zakus; in addition, its head was outfitted with a pair of small vulcan guns, as a way of attacking light-armored aircraft and vehicles without wasting ammo or energy from its more powerful armaments. It also made use of a very unconventional close-range weapon known as the "Gundam Hammer" - a large weapon similar to a flail which could be swung at enemies to deal crushing damage. The Gundam Hammer was eventually upgraded for use in space and outfitted with a number of verniers on the ball, and renamed to be the "Hyper Hammer". Lastly, it wielded a shield which would offer it a defense against enemy attacks that not even its Luna Titanium body could withstand without damage. Gundam pilot, Amuro Ray, would make use of the shield as a decoy in many battles, taking advantage of its size to fool the enemy into thinking he was charging at them, then attacking the enemy through the shield. In terms of technology, the Gundam was equipped with a sophisticated Learning Computer which would collect pilot and enemy data during skirmishes and allow the Gundam to operate more effectively. The data from the computer was used by the Federation to improve the controls of the Gundam's mass-produced form, the RGM-79 GM. In addition, it was upgraded by Federation technician Mosque Han shortly before the Battle of A Baoa Qu to improve its reaction times, the joints of the Gundam were given a Magnet Coating, based on the experimental procedure performed on the RX-78-3 "G-3" Gundam and later used on Amuro's intended successor unit, the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex".The Gundam makes use of the Core Block System implemented in the other V Project units. The torso of the Gundam is mostly hollow so that a FF-X7 Core Fighter can dock with it. This allows the pilot to jettison the legs and torso of the Gundam should the machine be too heavily damaged and gives the pilot a chance to escape from battle. Later, during Operation Odessa, the Gundam is given a support unit known as the G-Fighter. The two G-Fighters were designed to take advantage of the Gundam's modular system and diversify the Gundam's role in active combat. These modes ranged from the assault bomber G-Armor to the close combat support tank G-Bull. Officially, it is called a prototype, but it is also said to be more of a custom-made machine that is finished with high quality materials and the best technology.
RG 1/144 RX-93 Nu Gundam
Bandai
$60.00 $56.00The ν Gundam is one of the most advanced mobile suits during the Second Neo Zeon War in U.C. 0093, together with Char Aznable's MSN-04 Sazabi, it is used by Amuro Ray who also came up with its basic design. It was manufactured at Anaheim Electronics' Von Braun plant and completed in a short period of time (about three months) under the supervision of chief engineer October Saran. Its design is based on the average specification values of each successive generation of Gundam-type units from the original RX-78-2 Gundam to the MSZ-010 ΖΖ Gundam and updated with state-of-the-art technologies introduced at the time. Various test data collected from the ARX-014P Silver Bullet (Funnel Test Type), the YRA-90A μ Gundam, and the RX-9 Narrative Gundam were also used in its development. The ν Gundam's design focuses on versatility and operational aspects, as well as emphasizes on reliability and durability for protracted battles. It adopts unitized parts that are designed according to EFF standards, except for the Psycho-Frame, for easier procurement of parts and materials and reducing special components as much as possible. It can be easily repaired due to maintenance feedback and combat data. In addition, it reflects Amuro Ray's experience as an MS pilot cultivated over the years.Incorporating the Psycho-Frame technology secretly provided to Anaheim Electronics by Char Aznable of Neo Zeon, the ν Gundam was able to utilize Psycommu weapons and channel the emotions and mental energies of a Newtype pilot. It is also the first Gundam-type machine to be equipped with Funnels, and a newly developed MS control program is installed to account for the ν Gundam's center of mass during the separation and movement of the Funnels. Despite its short development time, the ν Gundam proved itself to be a formidable mobile suit and when combined with legendary ace pilot Amuro Ray's immense skill and experience, this powerful, state-of-the-art machine was able to almost single-handedly hold back the whole Neo Zeon force, and its Psycho-Frame was put to the test to determine the history of humanity living on earth.
RG 1/144 RX-93-v2 Hi-Nu Gundam
Bandai
$61.00The RX-93-ν2 Hi-ν Gundam (pronounced "High-New") is an alternate interpretation of the RX-93 ν Gundam which appears in Mobile Suit Gundam: Beltorchika's Children. It is piloted by Amuro Ray. Originally developed in the Anaheim Electronics facility near Von Braun, the Hi-ν Gundam's basic design was an update of past Gundam Type mobile suits, returning to the basics of Federation-made mobile suits and going against the trend of larger and more complex mobile suit designs at the time. Its most notable feature was a set of six all-range weapons mounted on its back, known as "Fin Funnels", which were capable of both attack and defense. This made it the first full spec Newtype-use Gundam type mobile suit. The Hi-ν Gundam also featured a Psycommu system designed by its main pilot and engineer, Amuro Ray. Originally, the system only served as the control mechanism for the Fin Funnels. However, after the Londo Bell captured a MSN-03-2 Psycho Doga used by Neo Zeon, the Psycho-Frame technology obtained from it was incorporated into the Hi-ν Gundam, improving its responsiveness via brainwave controls.Other than the Fin Funnels, the Hi-ν Gundam was also armed with a pair of head-mounted vulcan guns and an arsenal of custom-made weapons: a beam rifle, a new hyper bazooka, three beam sabers (one on each back-mounted funnel rack, one inside a saber rack in the left forearm), a machine gun mounted in the right forearm, and a shield with built-in ranged weaponry. The Hi-ν Gundam was completed within three months, this was the result of the maturation of movable frame technology, the tireless effort of engineers, as well as Amuro's own deep understanding of mobile suits.
RG 1/144 Sinanju
Bandai
$51.00The MSN-06S Sinanju (aka Sinanju) is a mobile suit featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel, its OVA adaptation and the television re-cut. A modified version of the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein, it was piloted by Full Frontal. Originally the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein developed by Anaheim Electronics as part of the Earth Federation's "UC Project", its movable frame is partly made from Psycho-Frame materials. This mobile suit was then stolen and modified into the MSN-06S Sinanju by the Neo Zeon remnant group known as "The Sleeves", and became the personal machine of the group's leader, Full Frontal. All of the Gundam-like features (except for the head-mounted vulcan guns) in the Sinanju Stein have been replaced with a Zeonic design and weaponry. Painted in crimson and with gold engraving, the Sinanju looks like the emblem of the Neo Zeon forces embodied. This decoration not only strengthens the armor, but is also said to be a design that is meant to control the organization known as the Neo Zeon remnants. The Sinanju Stein was an experimental machine, so there were some concerns about the armor's resistance to elasticity, but in order to increase the pilot's survival, the beam coating was strengthened from the two-layer structure used in most conventional MS to a five-layer structure, and the entire cockpit block was covered with Luna Titanium X material, and the Sinanju's armor has been strengthened as flagship machine. The Sinanju is also equipped with thrust deflector thrusters shaped like the large wings of a bird of prey, and flexible thrusters on the left and right sides of both legs and shins. Together with the numerous thrusters located all over its body, it is capable of acrobatic maneuvering combat that is impossible for a normal MS to achieve. With its overwhelming combat ability, crimson body, and mono-eye sensor, the Sinanju reminds all who see it of the legendary "Red Comet".
RG 1/144 XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero EW
Bandai
$34.00The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero (ウイングガンダムゼロ Uingu Gandamu Zero?) (aka Wing Zero, Wing 0, or just Zero) is a mobile suit that appears in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Wing Zero was the first Gundam designed by the five engineers who had developed the OZ-00MS Tallgeese. Around A.C. 175, the MS, which was developed as a "weapon" by OZ, began to evolve as an epoch-making mobile weapon based on the Tallgeese (Prototype Leo). Meanwhile, several engineers that were at the core of the Tallgeese development ran away from OZ to develop even higher performance MS. Five of them gathered to develop a MS that would adopt "technology and materials that did not yet exist at that point in time", including "Gundanium", which was a cutting-edge material at that time. Having been developed in light of the Tallgeese's failure, it became a dreadful machine equipped with an interface that transcended the limits of the pilot. That is "Wing Zero", and the material adopted gave it the code name "Gundam". By transforming into Neo Bird Mode, high-speed cruising is possible; in addition, the Twin Buster Rifle has the power to destroy a space colony in a single hit.Wing Zero's head unit is an aggregation of various sensors and head Vulcan Guns are not equipped. Its chest unit is equipped with the main generator and a "ZERO System" built-in type cockpit. The ZERO System also turned out to be what the five engineers feared the most as it forced the pilot to achieve the "perfect victory". The five engineers, harboring a fear of the dimension of Wing Zero's excessive destruction coefficient (in practice, the parts with the required specifications could not have been supplied at that point in time), suspended the machine's development and sealed its design data. In hiding, the five engineers who had returned to their respective base colonies would develop five "Gundams" that could be said to be unique Wing Zero-derived machines. And then in A.C. 195, the seal was broken by Quatre Raberba Winner, one of the five Gundam pilots who had carried out Operation Meteor; and Wing Zero, which had been impossible to build at the time of its design, is born.
RG 1/144 XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW
Bandai
$34.00The XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (aka Gundam 01, Wing Gundam [Early Type] or Wing Gundam [Ver.Ka.]) is the titular mobile suit of the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers. It was primarily piloted by Heero Yuy. Out of the five original Gundams created for Operation Meteor, Wing Gundam is the most well-balanced in terms of abilities and bears the closest resemblance to their common ancestor: the XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Proto Zero. Like its predecessor, the Wing Gundam can transform into an alternate flight form known as "Bird Mode" and has a powerful Buster Rifle as part of its armaments. However, the "ZERO System" interface (which had technical problems) and other parts considered to be excessive were not included, and the skills of the pilot are needed to make up for the shortfall. The major contributor to Wing's mobility is the pair of wing units on the backpack. These units not only generate lift, but can also change the aerodynamic characteristics of the mobile suit through the movements of their individual panels, supporting a range of speeds from stall to hypersonic. Even in outer space, the wing units exhibit high attitude control capability using both AMBAC and built-in vernier thrusters. By transforming into Bird Mode, Wing Gundam's mobility and movement range are increased further, allowing it to conduct operations that other Gundams could not.
RG 1/144 ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam
Bandai
$31.00The ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It is piloted by Athrun Zala. One of ZAFT's five ZGMF-X Gundam units produced in CE 71 using technology derived from the four captured Alliance's Gundam, the Justice Gundam's main feature is the Fatum-00 unit on its back. This complex armament unit normally serves as the main thrusters, granting overwhelming acceleration as well as mobility when deployed horizontally and this configuration is also known as 'High-Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode'. It also grants flight capabilities in the atmosphere and can be deployed as a separate unmanned unit or a subflight unit. It is armed with beam cannons and machine guns.Other weapons of the Justice included beam sabers, beam rifle, shield, beam boomerangs and head-mounted CIWS guns. In comparison to the other ZGMF-X Gundam units, the Justice's armament is relatively simple and pales in firepower compared to its sibling, the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam. However, the Justice's true value lies in its incredible mobility and the various tactics it can employ using the Fatum-00. It can also dock with a support unit, the METEOR unit, for heavier firepower and greater speed, and has an advanced targeting system, the Multi Lock-On System, which allows it to fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously.Justice also has a tall sensor spine on the top of its head, similar to that of the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, and this enhances its ability to collect information in the battlefield. It is designed to be operated alongside the Freedom and for this purpose, the warship Eternal is designed specifically to maintain both suits. Like the four other ZGMF-X Gundam units, Justice is armored with Phase Shift Armor and has virtually unlimited combat endurance as it is powered by a nuclear reactor thanks to the Neutron Jammer Canceller.
RG 1/144 ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam
Bandai
$37.00The ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam (aka Strike Freedom, Freedom) is the successor of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam. Introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, it is piloted by Kira Yamato. A mobile suit tuned to meet Kira Yamato's needs, the Strike Freedom has Variable Phase Shift armor, and like its predecessor, ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam, is primarily armed with powerful ranged weapons. Its armaments include head-mounted CIWS, an abdomen-mounted multi-phase beam cannon, hip-mounted railguns, combine-able beam sabers and beam rifles, DRAGOON pods controlled by the new Super DRAGOON system and beam shields. It is powered by the new Hyper-Deuterion Engine, and is also equipped with the Neutron Jammer Canceler and the Voiture Lumiere propulsion system.Due to Kira's stellar piloting, his mobile suit is rarely hit during combat and thus Strike Freedom's design emphasizes maneuverability over its armor's defensive capabilities, though beam shields were installed as a compensatory defensive measure. As a result, its armor is split into smaller pieces to improve the movement range of the joints (a similar armor-splitting system was also implemented in ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam). To compensate for exposing more of its internal parts, the suit's internal skeleton and joints adopted PS armor materials. When these parts phase-shift, they gain strength and near human flexibility. Additionally, excess residual energy within the body can be discharged through the joints' glowing effects. The internal PS armor materials also help to withstand the massive output and Gs caused by the Hyper Deuterion engine and the new propulsion system, playing a role in increasing Strike Freedom's mobility. However, the main contributor to the MS's superior mobility are the mobile weapon wings, which can be deployed in the "High Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT)" Mode to enhance the suit's mobility in the atmosphere or in space. The wings also features a variant of the "Voiture Lumiere" propulsion system, which can generate a visual effect called the "Wings of the Skies" similar to ZGMF-X42S Destiny's Wings of Light and is used as a means of high speed movement. The Strike Freedom's Super DRAGOONs are based on ZAFT's second generation DRAGOON system, with additional unique modifications. Designed for Kira's use, they allow him to hit more targets at once using the Multi Lock-On System and Full Burst Mode as compared to when he was piloting the original Freedom. They also grant Kira the ability to hit the enemy from multiple directions remotely. Like the Freedom, Strike Freedom is designed to operate alongside another mobile suit, in this case, the ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam and is stationed on board the warship Eternal. It also has full flight capabilities in the atmosphere and can dock with the METEOR unit to further augment its firepower.
RG 1/144 ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam
Bandai
$31.00The ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is the titular mobile suit of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and was piloted by Shinn Asuka. A straight-built Gunpla version is piloted by Shimon Izuna in Gundam Build Fighters Try. Gundam Seed DestinyThe ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam is a high performance general-purpose MS commissioned by ZAFT Chairman Gilbert Durandal, who ordered it to be incorporated with the most advanced technology of the time, including technologies banned by the Junius Treaty. Based on the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam and Shinn Asuka's combat data, it is designed to handle any combat situations with a single set of varied armament, a concept first tested on the ZGMF-X56S/θ Destiny Impulse. For close combat, it has two beam boomerangs that double as beam sabers, a pair of palm beam cannons, and a large beam sword. For ranged battle, it is equipped with a long-range beam cannon and a beam rifle. For defense, it mounts a small physical shield as well as two beam shield generators. Lastly, the suit has a standard set of CIWS.For the Destiny Gundam to use its variety of weapons effectively and quickly, it needs to have a wider range of body movements as well as be more flexible. To achieve a wider range of body movements, the suit's basic structural components are split into smaller, movable pieces, while its armor is divided into smaller pieces in a manner similar to that of the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam's. The exposed gaps in the armor due to smaller armor pieces are remedied by mapping out the ranges of motion of the frame using Shinn's combat performance to determine the most efficient way to separate the armor parts. This ensures the wider range of body movements do not compromise defensive power. To be more flexible, the Destiny's joints are constructed of the same materials found in Phase Shift armor. This allows the joints to possess near-human flexibility when phase-shifted and a faint metallic glow is produced when discharging excess residual energy within the body through the joints. Through these measures, the suit met its requirements, however, various problems remain to be solved, including maintenance problems and production issues.Other special aspects are the Destiny's use of the new Voiture Lumiere propulsion system and the use of Mirage Colloid to create illusionary copies of itself. Destiny's Voiture Lumiere propulsion system is installed in the wings, which are improved version of the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam's wings, and will produce a special light effect known as Wings of Light during high speed movements. The Voiture Lumiere propulsion system is frequently used alongside the Mirage Colloid to confuse the enemy as the real Destiny sets up for a high-speed attack. Like the ZGMF-X666S Legend Gundam, the Destiny Gundam is powered by the Hyper-Deuterion Engine and armored with Variable Phase Shift armor. Although classified as a "Second Stage Series" mobile suit, as indicated by the "S" in its model code, the Destiny should be a "Third Stage Series" instead based on its performance. This is done to hide the fact that it is a nuclear-powered suit and should have an "A" instead.Gundam Build Fighters TryA Gunpla used by Shimon Izuna, it was built by Shimon's little brother Mamoru Izuna as he recovered from an illness. It was built straight out of the box with no attention to fixing up nub marks, etc. Thus, its stats during Gunpla Battle is not very impressive. However, Shimon is able to compensate with his high piloting skills and managed to go toe-to-toe with Sekai Kamiki and his BG-011B Build Burning Gundam despite the latter's incredible build.
RG 1/144 ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam
Bandai
$32.00The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is a Mobile Suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. It is piloted by Shinn Asuka and later by Lunamaria Hawke. The ZGMF-X56S/α Force Impulse Gundam is the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam equipped with the α Force Silhouette pack. The Force Impulse is a general purpose MS like the original Impulse, but has extremely high mobility under gravity and in zero gravity due to the Force Silhouette's high output thrusters and large wings. This pack also enables atmospheric flight, and adds a pair of beam sabers to the Impulse's standard armaments, granting the Force Impulse high melee and ranged combat capabilities. The Force Impulse is the most commonly used form of the Impulse due to its high versatility, and it is said that its aerial combat capabilities are equivalent to the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam's. The Force Impulse retains the same VPS colors as the original Impulse.
RG Evangelion Mark.06
Bandai
$59.00Evangelion Mark.06 (エヴァンゲリオン Mark.06[?], "Evangelion Māku Shikkusu") is one of the Evangelion appearing in the Rebuild of Evangelion movie series. It first appears at the end of Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone while still under construction at the Tabgha Moon Base, its first actual sortie takes place during the climax of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, piloted by Kaworu Nagisa. It reappears in Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo as an autonomous unit. Mark 06 is the first Mark Series unit introduced to the Rebuild tetralogy. The final armored Mark.06 is a deep blue with yellow trim. The shoulder pylons are uniquely curved and the units torso is elongated featuring an extra set of chest plate compared to other production model. The horned helmet, which bears a strong resemblance to Armaros's, has a red visor covering the eye holes. The entry plug appears to be designed to provide a noticeably higher field-of-vision for the pilot. The Evangelion has shown to be capable of levitation while bearing an Angelic halo, which—in addition to the dialogue between SEELE, Gendo, and Fuyutsuki—hints at extremely potent capabilities.Evangelion Mark.06 was constructed at NERV (Rebuild)'s lunar 7th Branch, Tabgha Base. It initially appears unfinished, with its body covered in a rubbery white material,[1] and a purple mask covering its face, bearing the logo of SEELE (Rebuild) with two dark holes at the top which marks under them that make it seem as if they were crying. The morphology of the head and neck is very similar to Second Angel Lilith, although the more defined body, along with what appears to be a core visible beneath the fabric, is closer to a normal Evangelion. An IV-like device labeled BTB is connected to the Evangelion's left arm.Later, the white cover is removed and the Evangelion undergoes the process of outfitting. The exposed skin on the head is dark gray while the body is tightly covered on a darker fiber that resembles muscle tissue. The mask remains affixed to the face, although it appears slightly modified, with the SEELE logo taking more space than before and the crying marks under the holes at the top removed. The middle part of the mask, approximately where the eyes would be, is hidden by a provisional covering held tightly by external wires as the helmet is readied for application.
RG Evangelion Unit-00

$55.00Evangelion Unit-00 (エヴァンゲリオン 零号機[?], "Zerogōki") is the first functional Evangelion unit created, serving as the prototype for the rest of the Evangelion series. It is piloted by Rei Ayanami. Unit-00 is the Prototype, the first successful Evangelion, and is piloted by the First Child, Rei Ayanami. The head design is similar to that of the previous failed attempts, but with only one camera. There are two domes on the top of the head, one white and one transparent green; their function (if any) is never revealed. Unit-00 is the only one of the original Evangelions that is never seen without its armor (Unit-02 was revealed in The End of Evangelion, and Unit-01 on multiple occasions) or opening its mouth; thus the appearance of its organic body is unknown.Unit-00 was initially colored orange like the previous prototypes, but its armor was damaged beyond repair by the Angel Ramiel's particle beam. The subsequent repairs and upgrades included blue armor plating in addition to other alterations made in order to make it more suitable for combat conditions. It was later refered as Evangelion Unit-00' (エヴァンゲリオン 零号機(改)[?], "Evangerion Zerogōki Kai").The upgrades to Unit-00's armor make it look more like the subsequent Evangelions, but there are still several differences or actual limitations. Shoulder pylons are added to the Unit's armor; though similar in appearance to the ones on Units 01 and 02, they are used to hold retro-rockets, as seen in the fight with the ninth Angel, Matarael. Because it is only the prototype, Unit-00 cannot be fitted with D-Type Equipment. The true nature of the soul inside Unit-00 is never specified, but it is implied to be directly connected to Rei in some fashion. Unit-00 was self-destructed by Rei in order to destroy the sixteenth Angel, Armisael.

It houses the soul of Shinji's mother, Yui Ikari. It is mainly piloted by Shinji Ikari. Unit-01 serves as the flagship model for the series. Evangelion Unit-01 is, like all Evangelions, a giant artificial human (Jinzo ningen[?]) with brown skin. It has a mouth similar to that of a human as well as two round green eyes. The face also has four small nostrils and red blood. Its true appearance is concealed under armor, called Type-B Gear, also serving to limit its real strength. The Unit-01 armor is a prototype model, and therefore different from the following models. This consists of two blueish large plates covering the pectorals, as well as three triangular pieces on the abdomen up to the crotch. The armor is predominantly purple with green stripes on the arms and details in black. Its gorget is made up of several pieces of yellowish/orange color. Its most characteristic element is undoubtedly its helmet, unique for each Eva, with its prominent horn and its "collar", vaguely evoking that of a single horn oni.The armor also adds several other elements necessary for combat and piloting. First, there is the system to accommodate the Entry Plug and the umbilical cable in the back of the Evangelion below the neck. For combat, the armor has shoulder pylons that can be open to store and remove the progressive knife.

RG Evangelion Unit-02 Production Model-02
Bandai
$55.00Evangelion Unit-02 (エヴァンゲリオン 弐号機, Evangerion Nigōki?) is the third Evangelion completed, the first Production Model Evangelion. The design of Unit-02 supposedly rectifies the mistakes made during the construction of Prototype Unit-00 and Test Type Unit-01, making it the first Evangelion built specifically for combat against the Angels. It is piloted by Asuka Langley Sohryu and briefly by Kaworu Nagisa. Unit-02 is a Production Model Evangelion and uses the same armor arrangement as the succeeding Unit-03 and Unit-04, along with the upgraded Unit-00'. All Evangelion using this arrangement have the same shoulder pylon design and five V-shaped armor plates on their torso. This Evangelion is unique in having bluish-purple blood, blue-gray skin, and four eyes. (All other Evangelion possess red blood, and, for all non-Mass Production Evangelion, including Unit-00, two eyes and brown skin are the standard.) The eyes are a uniform fiery orange in color.Although Unit-02 has a jaw and mouth, when armored these cannot open to the same extent as those on Unit-01, Unit-03 and Unit-04, and so there is no hinged jaw piece in the helmet. Instead, the helmet has movable sections that can shift to cover or uncover the Evangelion's eyes. Four prominent nostril holes are located in the bulging forehead section of the helmet.Eva02 EoEArtwork of Unit-02, notice the small differences. An altered Unit-02 design was adopted for The End of Evangelion. Although visually similar to the original, the new design has more human-like body proportions, drastically reduced pylon size, and a narrower, redesigned head shape. The blades of armor on the lower arms have also been eliminated. Some of these changes may have been made in order to ease the animation of Unit-02's final battle, although they sometimes add a jarring visual discontinuity with the rest of the series. The "helmet-popping" mechanism is eliminated in the movie version. Although Unit-02 is never seen opening its jaws while the head is fully covered (despite the fact that it roars and makes other vocalizations), the jaw piece, when exposed later, visibly has "teeth" as per Unit-01 and others.
RG Evangelion Unit-03 The Enchanted Shield of Virtue Set
Bandai
$75.00Evangelion Unit-03 (エヴァンゲリオン 3号機, "Evangerion Sangōki") is an Evangelion Unit that never sees action before being possessed by Bardiel in Episode 17 of Neon Genesis Evangelion. It was piloted by Tōji Suzuhara. Built by NERV Second Branch in Massachusetts, USA, Evangelion Unit-03 is one of two Units built with the Second Production Model design. It is the brother Unit of Unit-04 (Unit-03 and Unit-04 were oddly the only Evangelions who were addressed as males during the series). The United States government insisted on having the rights to build Unit-03 and Unit-04.A few minor changes were made between the first and second Production Models. Unit-03's color was unique, with much darker plates than any other Evangelion. The head was oddly shaped, too, with a rounded top and exaggerated chin. Unit-03 sports a predominately black color scheme with white and red highlights. It has grey eyes, as evidenced by the freeze-frame play of its destruction. However, when it first activated, red veins could be seen in the eyes of the Evangelion, showing the infection of the angel.
