Splash Paints 2K Urethane Primer

The Splash Paints 2K Primer is a two-component urethane primer designed for airbrush application on scale models, Gunpla, and 3D prints. Available in White (SPP-001), Grey (SPP-002), and Black (SPP-003), this 2K primer provides superior durability and adhesion compared to single-component primers. Each set includes a 60 ml (2 oz) urethane primer bottle and a 15 ml (0.5 oz) urethane catalyst bottle, requiring thorough mixing before application.

• Superior Surface Preparation: Apply over surfaces sanded to at least #800–#1000 grit for optimal adhesion.
• Fast Cure Time: 3–4 hours at room temperature, or 10–15 minutes at 140°F in a dehydrator.
• Sandable Finish: Wet-sand with #1500–2000 grit after curing for a smooth surface before basecoat application.
• Three Color Options: White, Grey, and Black to accommodate different basecoat color requirements.
• Recommended PSI: 20–30 PSI. Apply medium to wet coats in multiple passes.
• Recommended Nozzle Size: 0.35 mm or larger for primer application.
• Pot Life: Approximately 2 hours after mixing. Clean all product from airbrush immediately after use.

Application Notes

• Coat 1: Medium wet passes.
• Coat 2: Wet passes.
• Coat 3: Additional wet passes if necessary.
• After curing, wet-sand the entire surface with #1500–2000 grit before applying any base coats.
• Catalyst contains isocyanate. An organic vapor respirator (such as 3M 60921) must be worn during use. Use in a well-ventilated area only. Product is flammable and must be kept away from all heat sources.
