Splash Paints SP-072 2K Gloss Black

The Splash Paints SP-072 2K Gloss Black is a two-component urethane color coat designed for airbrush application on scale models, Gunpla, and 3D prints. Functioning as both a standalone gloss black finish and an ideal base coat for metalizer or metallic paint application, this 2K formula produces a non-shrinking, high-gloss surface that is extremely UV stable and resistant to fading. Each set includes a 30 ml (1 oz) Gloss Black bottle and a 10 ml (0.3 oz) catalyst bottle, mixed at a 4:1 ratio before application.

• Cure Time: 48–72 hours at room temperature, or 60 minutes in a dehydrator at 120°F after cooldown.

Application Notes

• 1st coat: Medium coat. Flash off 5–10 minutes.
• 2nd coat: Medium to wet coat. Flash off 5–10 minutes.
• 3rd coat: Wet coat. Flash off 15 minutes prior to baking cycle or air dry.
• For metallic application over gloss black: flash off for 5 minutes after final coat, then spray metallic while the surface is still wet. Allow 24 hours cure time before handling.
• Catalyst contains isocyanate. An organic vapor respirator must be worn during use. Use in a well-ventilated area only. Product is flammable and must be kept away from all heat sources.
