Description

The Bandai HGUC #61 1/144 MSA-005 Methuss is a High Grade Universal Century model kit based on the transformable support mobile suit from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Developed by Anaheim Electronics for the AEUG as part of Project Zeta, the Methuss served as a prototype testbed whose data contributed to the development of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. This snap-fit kit is suitable for beginner to intermediate builders, requiring no paint or glue for assembly. The Methuss was piloted by Fa Yuiry, Reccoa Londe, and Katz Kobayashi during the Gryps Conflict.

Key Features

  • MS-to-Mobile Armor Transformation: The kit can be transformed between Mobile Suit and Mobile Armor modes by replacing select parts, faithfully recreating the Methuss' signature capability.
  • Mega Bazooka Launcher Linkage: Includes wires and connector parts to link the Methuss to the HGUC Hyaku-Shiki + Mega Bazooka Launcher (sold separately), recreating its support role from the series.
  • Arm Beam Guns: Two forearm-mounted beam guns can flip forward with unfolding manipulator grips for firing poses.
  • Landing Gear: Dedicated landing gear parts are included for displaying the kit in Mobile Armor mode.
  • Pre-Colored Molding: Molded in the Methuss' distinctive bright yellow color scheme with vinyl tubing and foil stickers for added detail.
  • Articulated Construction: Features hinge and ball-joint neck, double-jointed elbows and knees bending up to approximately 165 degrees, and deployable calf thrusters.
