Master Grade 1/100 Gundam
MG models were first introduced in the summer of 1995, designed and made to higher standards than most other models. These kits take much longer to construct and are often much more expensive than their lower-grade counterparts. More recent Master Grade plastic models typically feature a movable inner frame system that enables extensive movement and bending of joints, as well as including standing and seating miniature figures of the pilots of each Gundam model.
Beginning in 2005 with the Zeta Gundam, Older MG Kits would be redesigned under the Ver.2.0 moniker with features such as a full inner frame. The RX-78-2 Gundam has had multiple MG iterations, including a Ver.1.5 that uses a mix of old and new parts, and Ver.3.0 that is modeled after the life-size statue similar to the Real Grade version of the same robot.
Though the name "Master Grade" is widely known because of Gundam, it is not Gundam exclusive as a few Master Grade offerings have come from mechas in Patlabor and Dunbine. Bandai also released a line featuring a series of character figures from Dragon Ball Z, Kamen Rider, and Tiger & Bunny under the name MG Figurerise.
In 2002, a new line of Master Grade kits subtitled "Ver. Ka" was released, which was Master Grades designed by mecha designer Hajime Katoki. Mobile suits chose to become Ver. Ka kits are chosen by annual fan votes. In 2020 a new line, Master Grade Extreme (abbreviated as MGEX) was redesigned of Master Grades that contained additional gimmicks called "Extreme Points". The first model kit of this line is the Unicorn Gundam Ver. Ka contained a LED light strip that ran across the mobile suit, compared to Individual lights that had to be wired throughout the inner frame.

MG 1/100 MSA-003 NEMO
Bandai
$34.00The MSA-003 Nemo is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Its design was later updated for the light novel/OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. Based on the Earth Federation Forces's RMS-179 GM II, the MSA-003 Nemo is a mass-production general-purpose mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics for the AEUG. As Anaheim Electronics had bought over Zeonic Corps that worked for the Principality of Zeon, its mobile suit technology has Zeon influences and as a result, the Nemo has a mixture of both Zeonic and Federation technologies.Like most other mobile suits created during the Gryps War, the Nemo has an internal movable frame. Its movable frame is of a new design and reflects the data gained by Anaheim Electronics from the development of the RMS-099 Rick Dias and the MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki. Thanks to this movable frame, the Nemo has high versatility and can operate in various environments such as zero-gravity, tropical regions, and cold climates. In addition, its legs' movable frame enables high mobility regardless of the environment, and as a result of considering Earth descent operations, it has a highly flexible structure with excellent drop and impact resistance. The Nemo's thrusters layout is designed using the RGM-79SP GM Sniper II's as a reference and this is due to part of the Nemo's development staff having worked on the latter during the One Year War.Compared to the GM II's titanium alloy ceramic composite, the Nemo has a more durable Gundarium alloy armor. As this armor is produced using the same technology as the RMS-108 Marasai's (another Anaheim Electronics' mobile suit, but provided to the Titans), it has high cost-effectiveness. Most of the Nemo's armaments are the same as those used by existing MS, and it could also use other armaments made by the Federation or Zeon. The Nemo was also relatively easy to pilot even for less skilled recruits, and overall, it was an excellent machine with performance superior to the GM II and RMS-106 Hizack.

MG 1/100 GAT-X105+P202QX Strike Gundam IWSP
Bandai
$51.00The GAT-X105+P202QX Strike Gundam IWSP (aka Strike IWSP) is a prototype mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED MSV. The Integrated Weapons Striker Pack (IWSP) combines the primary characteristics of the Aile, Sword and Launcher Striker Packs, allowing the Strike Gundam to handle different combat situations with one set of equipment. It also grants mobile suit the ability to fly within the atmosphere. Although powerful, the IWSP is highly complex and difficult to use.The IWSP was originally developed by PMP Company, but was abandoned due to energy issue. Orb's Morgenroete Inc. later acquired one of the prototypes and solved the energy issue using their superior battery technology. As the Strike IWSP has no ranged beam weapon, it can be equipped with the standard beam rifle if necessary. After the war, the IWSP is revived by Actaeon Industries in the form of AQM/E-M1 IWSP, which is functionally identical to the earlier P202QX IWSP, despite some differences in appearance. Phantom Pain fit this IWSP pack onto their newly built Strike Gundam which has darker phase shift armor colors. Data obtained from this Strike Gundam IWSP was used in the development of Strike Gundam E, as well as the Noir, Jet and Doppelhorn striker packs.

MG 1/100 OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon EW
Bandai
$50.00The OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon is a mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Originally piloted by Heero Yuy, it was later given to Zechs Merquise. Based on data from the OZ-00MS Tallgeese and the other Gundams, the Gundam Epyon was created by Treize Khushrenada while he was placed under confinement by the Romefeller Foundation. In keeping with Treize's philosophy, the Epyon eschews cowardly long-range weapons in favor of chivalrous close combat. However, when the suit becomes a part of White Fang, a pair of Vulcan guns are added to the head.[1] Its main weapons are a segmented, whip-like heat rod mounted on a shield and a powerful beam sword whose energy is supplied by a direct connection to the Epyon's generator. Treize also installed a modified version of the Zero System known as Epyon System in the cockpit, making this suit a powerful opponent. The Epyon can also transform into a "mobile armor" mode for high-speed flight and cruising in space. It resembles a mythological dragon in this mode, however, its primary weapons are inaccessible save for the Epyon Claws which are also used as landing gear in this form.Gundam Epyon EW is Hajime Katoki's redesign of Epyon in a similar fashion to other EW version of the first five Gundams and included in New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Frozen Teardrop as well as Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers. It is later given additional equipment known as 'Sturm Und Drang' that can be used for both defense and offense.

MG 1/100 XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe EW
Bandai
$40.00The XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe (aka Deathscythe, Gundam Zero-Two or Deathscythe Ver.Ka.) is the second of five Gundams sent to Earth from the Space Colonies in the manga New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: The Glory of Losers. It was piloted by Duo Maxwell. The Gundam Deathscythe was the "masterpiece" of Professor G. It has outstanding stealth capabilities, with a pair of Hyper Jammers mounted on its backpack that prevented the Gundam from showing up on radar or visual sensors, rendering it invisible to most electronics. This allowed it to sneak into facilities and even right up to enemy mobile suits without being detected. With the highest speed amongst the original 5 Gundams, the Gundam Deathscythe's battle style revolves around approaching the enemy rapidly, striking and then retreating. The Deathscythe's primary weapon was its namesake beam scythe. The power and reach of the scythe enabled it to destroy most single (and sometimes multiple) targets in one sweep. The Deathscythe also carries a Buster Shield on its left arm, which doubled as launchable scissor katar. Rounding out its arsenal was a set of head-mounted vulcan guns. The suddenness with which this sinister looking Gundam arrive, its invisibility on sensors, and the speed and ferocity of its attacks all strike great fear in its enemies, befitting its grim reaper visage.

MG 1/100 MBF-P03D Gundam Astray Blue Frame D
Bandai
$59.00The MBF-P03D Gundam Astray Blue Frame D is a variant of the Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L/G in the novel Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray B. It is piloted by Gai Murakumo. Produced in the Ame-no-Mihashira's factory by Gai, the Gundam Astray Blue Frame D is a close combat unit created to battle Dante Gordigiani's MBF-P0X Gundam Astray Noir. Although it is a variant of the Blue Frame Second L and Astray Blue Frame Second G, the Gundam Astray Blue Frame D swaps out most of their parts for parts of the original Blue Frame. Newly designed parts are also fitted in some areas and a striker pack connector has been added to the suit's back so that it can mount the Vouivre Striker, a modified AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker. The suit is armed with 10 blades and gives the impression that it is designed to get close to the enemy using the powerful output from the Vouivre Striker and then engaged in close combat. However, these blades are actually DRAGOONs with unique abilities and most of them can also be used as handheld weaponry. Gai later upgrades the suit with a pair of blade guns that are mounted underneath the arms.

MG 1/100 GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam (Ver. RM)
Bandai
$51.00The GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike is a prototype high mobility mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. Its primary pilot was Kira Yamato before it was passed down to ace pilot Mu La Flaga. The AQM/E-X01 Aile Striker is the most commonly equipped Striker pack for the Strike as it provides the greatest versatility. Thanks to the powerful vernier thrusters built into the Aile Striker, the Strike Gundam becomes an all purpose combat mobile suit with enhanced speed and maneuverability compared to its base capabilities.Despite the strength of the thrusters, they do not perform well enough for true flight capabilities inside Earth's atmosphere. However, they do allow the Strike to glide in the air for a short time and enhance its jumping capabilities to the point that it can combat mobile suits on Guuls that are flying low. Besides the standard armament of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, the Aile Striker pack adds a pair of beam sabers to the suit's armament.

MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Proto Zero EW
Bandai
$59.00The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero (ウイングガンダムゼロ EW Uingu Gandamu Zero?) (aka Wing Zero) is a mobile suit that appears in the OVA/movie Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz and the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers. Wing Zero was based on the Zero Frame technology developed by the five Gundam Scientists, which was an inner frame with all the necessary components for the mobile suit to operate, completely separate from the armor platings and energy conduits for weapons. The performance of the frame itself surpasses that of the OZ-00MS Tallgeese, and the complete separation of armor and internal structure allows Wing Zero to continue fighting after losing up to 90% of its armor. In the Glory of the Losers manga, Wing Zero is developed from the wreckage of the destroyed Wing Gundam Proto Zero, and upgraded with wing binders from the OZ-00MS Tallgeese Flugel. It combines the armament and equipment of the TV version and the EW version, such as having a shield and being able to transform into Neo-Bird Mode.

MG 1/100 RMS-108 Marasai
Bandai
$49.00The RMS-108 Marasai, also known as the MSA-002 Marasai is a second-generation mobile suit in the Universal Century timeline. It first appeared in the series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. The RMS-108 Marasai was developed using Zeon design principles combined with technology pioneered by the Earth Federation during the One Year War. Technologically based on the RMS-106 Hizack, the Marasai features improved technologies, such as a movable frame, Gundarium Alloy armor instead of a titanium alloy that improves overall defense, greater sensor range, greater acceleration, and a more powerful Minovsky type ultracompact fusion reactor. It is equipped with high-power thrusters that allow atmospheric flight under gravity for a short period of time.Alongside its technological improvements, the Marasai is also several tons lighter than Hizack when measuring its empty weight. The Marasai did not have as large a weapon selection as the Hizack however, because the Hizack was often equipped with older weapons used by Zakus, such as machine guns and heat hawks, while the Marasai used only advanced beam weapons. The Marasai's standard weapons are a beam rifle, two beam saber, and two head mounted Vulcan guns. A large shield was attached to its right shoulder, much like Zeon's Zaku line of mobile suits.

MG 1/100 MS-14S Char's Gelgoog Ver 2.0
Bandai
$55.00The MS-14S (YMS-14) Gelgoog Commander Type is a commander mobile suit that entered production as the MS-14A Gelgoog. Featuring a high-powered generator, various thrusters to aid mobility, a large pointed oval-shaped shield, a Beam Rifle, and a Beam Naginata, the MS-14S Gelgoog Commander Type rivals the capabilities of the Earth Federation's RX-78-2 Gundam. In fact, compared to the Gundam, the Gelgoog Commander Type is slightly faster, more mobile and possesses a more powerful generator and beam weapon selection; this was proven by Char during his first sortie in his personal unit against Amuro Ray's Gundam during the One Year War. On the other hand, it has thinner and less durable armor than the Gundam (which is built with Luna Titanium Alloy), and the lack of built-in weapons makes the Gelgoog easier to disarm (which Amuro literally did) and leave weaponless.

MG 1/100 RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (Titans) (Ver. 2.0)
Bandai
$43.00The RX-178 Gundam Mk-II is a mobile suit introduced in the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It is a successor of the famous RX-78-2 Gundam that served in the One Year War. A direct descendant of the RX-78-2 Gundam developed by the Titans, the Gundam Mk-II is the first mobile suit to utilize the new movable frame concept. In this new concept, rather than merely serving as a structural framework, the movable frame incorporates all the mobile suit's vital mechanisms, including the actuators and control systems required for movement, and excludes the mobile suit's weapons, armor, and propellant tanks. This approach dramatically improves the mobile suit's responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency, as well as making it far more agile than traditional designs.Another characteristic of the Gundam Mk-II is that some of its legs' movable parts are exposed and this design feature is based on the prevailing idea at that time that avoiding being hit by the enemy is the preferable choice. The origin for this idea is because no existing armor can fully protect against beam weaponry, thus it is better to increase the mobile suit's mobility by weight reduction rather than equip more armor which would lead to a higher weight and lower mobility. The mobile suit also has what had become the standard 360-degree panoramic screen and linear seat fitted in a circular cockpit that also functions as an escape pod. The multiple panels of the panoramic screen make up a single 360-degree display, covering the entire inner surface of the cockpit. The image displayed on this screen is a computer simulation constructed from the cameras distributed around the mobile suit's exterior. The viewpoint is that of the mobile suit's head, and the image is carefully edited to remove the mobile suit itself. The linear seat is suspended in the center of the cockpit, supported by a linear arm which electromagnetically counters G-forces and impact shocks in order to protect the pilot. Together, the panoramic screen and the linear seat gives the pilot a larger field of view and eliminates blind spots. The most notable flaw of the Gundam Mk-II is that it is armored using the obsolete titanium alloy ceramic composite. Another flaw is that the movable frame's leg sections have rigidity issues associated with the strength of the structural material used, and this problem persisted even after six design revisions. Despite this, for a brief time period, the Gundam Mk-II's movable frame makes it one of the most agile mobile suits available. Three Gundam Mk-II were produced in total. They were later stolen by the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) and given a new paint scheme. Despite being used by two different factions, the Gundam Mk-II's weaponry remains mostly unchanged. Its only fixed weapons are two beam sabers, but it can carry a vulcan pod, a shield, a beam rifle, a hyper bazooka and a clay bazooka if necessary.

MG 1/100 MSN-06S Sinanju Stein (Ver.Ka)
Bandai
$72.00The MSN-06S Sinanju Stein (aka Sinanju Stein) is a mobile suit featured in the PlayStation 3 video game Mobile Suit Gundam UC and UC-MSV. Built from the data of both the MSN-04 Sazabi and RX-93 ν Gundam, the Sinanju Stein was developed as part of the Earth Federation Forces reorganization plan known as the "UC Project". Stein means "stone" in German and Norwegian, and the Sinanju Stein's name was a reference to it being "a jewel in the rough". This mobile suit was created by Anaheim Electronics to test the sensitivity and durability of the lightweight and rigid material, the Psycho-Frame, for use in a mobile suit's internal movable frame. The Sinanju Stein was also equipped with a Psycommu system, and the "Intention Automatic System", which functions by using the Psycho-Frame's sensitivity to the pilot's thought-waves to directly affect behavior of the mobile suit. The suit boasts high mobility and features flexible thrusters on its legs and backpack, allowing it to achieve precise movements at high speeds. Due to its murderous acceleration, it was impossible for ordinary pilot to control the Sinanju Stein, and its evaluation tests were conducted on autopilot to test the limits of the Psycho Frame. Therefore, the Sinanju Stein can be said to be a defective machine for humans to pilot, but in reality, it was designed to be flown by Newtypes, as Anaheim Electronics was planning to hand it over to the Neo Zeon remnant group, the the Sleeves, in a backroom deal, in the form of a transfer disguised as a robbery. Two lines of mobile suits were later developed using the Sinanju Stein as a base. These were the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam and the MSN-06S Sinanju. The Unicorn Gundam was thought to be developed by based on the data of the Sinanju Stein's test. The Sinanju was refurbished using one of two units stolen the Sleeves, and had its response levels tuned down as its controls were too sensitive. Due to how famous the Sinanju later became, the Sinanju Stein was also referred to as "The stone from which Full Frontal's Sinanju was hewn". The other stolen unit was also embellished with the engravings of the Sleeves and deployed in battle over RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex. What is Ver.Ka In 2002, Bandai started releasing a Master Grade line under the label of “Ver. Ka” (Version Katoki), in honor with veteran mecha designer Hajime Katori. Some of the Ver. Ka kits were produced as a result of annual fan votes.

MG 1/100 RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka
Bandai
$94.00The RX-0 Full Armor Unicorn Gundam (aka Full Armor Unicorn, Unicorn) is the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam equipped with an array of weapons. It is piloted by Banagher Links. The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam was an enhancement plan devised by Takuya Irei while aboard the Nahel Argama and is based on his extensive knowledge of mobile suits. After Banagher's Newtype potential manifests itself, the psycoframe changes color to a vibrant green. Unlike other mobile suits with the Full Armor designation, the FA Unicorn does not have any additional armor for the MS itself (except additional shields). However, it does introduce a large array of weapons, which are added to the legs, backpack and forearms. The new array of weapons includes two backpack-mounted hyper bazookas, numerous hand grenades, two grenade launchers, two missile pods, three pair of Gatling guns, and two additional shields, one on the backpack and the other on the right forearm. The backpack also features two boosters taken from a Base Jabber Type 94 to compensate for the increased mass, with one of the additional shields situated between them. Thanks to its large amount of armament, the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam can handle any combat situations, and all the added weaponry can be ejected whenever their ammunitions are spent to avoid becoming dead-weight. Like the normal Unicorn, the Full Armor Unicorn can take control of an enemy's psycommu weapons, even Quasi-Psycommu bits, when the NT-D is activated. What is Ver.Ka In 2002, Bandai started releasing a Master Grade line under the label of “Ver. Ka” (Version Katoki), in honor with veteran mecha designer Hajime Katori. Some of the Ver. Ka kits were produced as a result of annual fan votes.

MGSD ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam
Bandai
$50.00The ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam (aka Freedom, X10A) is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and is piloted by Kira Yamato. One of ZAFT's ZGMF-X series of Gundam units build in C.E. 71 using technology derived from the four captured Alliance's Gundam, the Freedom Gundam has Phase Shift Armor and its armaments include CIWS guns, beam sabers, shield, plasma beam cannons, railguns, and a beam rifle. When the latter three weapons are used simultaneously, the Freedom is said to be in 'Full Burst Mode'. The suit has full flight capabilities in the atmosphere and the back-mounted wings can be deployed in "High Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode" to enhance its mobility in the atmosphere or in space. It also has an advanced targeting system, the Multi Lock-On System, that allows it to target and fire at multiple enemy units simultaneously. Due to its capabilities and loadout, the suit has a reputation as a specialized 'Mobile Suit Killer', but its high performance resulted in a complicated control system that demands extremely fast reaction speed and spatial awareness from its pilot. When required, the Freedom Gundam can dock with a support unit, the METEOR unit, for heavier firepower and greater speed. The Freedom Gundam has virtually unlimited combat endurance as it is equipped with a Neutron Jammer Canceller and powered by a nuclear reactor. Kira describes the suit as having over four times the power of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam. However, what this exactly means is unclear. The Freedom Gundam is meant to operate alongside the ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, and they are often based on the warship, the FFMH-Y101 Eternal, which is designed specifically to maintain them. Even in CE 73, the suit is still considered by some people, such as Shinn Asuka, as the most powerful mobile suit out there. Overall, it is one of the Clyne Faction's symbols of power, along with the Eternal, the Archangel, and the Justice.

MG 1/100 MSM-07S Char's Z'Gok
Bandai
$37.00 $31.08The MSM-07S Z'Gok Commander Type is a variant of the MSM-07 Z'Gok created by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. An improved, higher performance model of the Z'Gok, it has higher reactor output, better maneuverability and a change in armor materials. It eventually became the standard Z'Gok model.

MG 1/100 GN-001 Gundam Exia
Bandai
$46.00The GN-001 Gundam Exia (aka Exia, Gundam Seven Swords) is a mobile suit featured in season one of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and is piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei. Specializing in close combat and armed mainly with melee weapons, the Gundam Exia is one of four Gundams deployed in AD 2307 by the paramilitary organization, Celestial Being, to eliminate world conflicts through armed interventions. To fight against the world with their small numbers and win, these Gundams have overwhelming power and equipped with advanced technology a century ahead of its time. Notably, the semi-perpetual GN Drive mounted in the center of the Gundams provide almost limitless energy and generates special, multifunctional GN Particles. The GN Particles grant outstanding mobility, including independent flight capabilities, and are also utilized for beam weaponry, attitude control, and stealth purposes as the discharged particles can cause electromagnetic interference, leaving conventional communication and radar devices useless. The Gundams also share common aspects with conventional mobile suits, such as the use of E-Carbon for its armor material. However, the Gundams' E-Carbon has higher defensive power due to the use of advanced materials. An example of Exia's overwhelming power is that its output was estimated to be about six times that of the SVMS-01 Union Flag, one of the newest conventional mobile suits at the time. The technical hurdles that had to be overcome to create the powerful Gundams and their GN Drives were high, making their production extremely difficult and caused the Gundams' development to occur in phases. The first generation machine, the GN-000 0 Gundam, established the basic system of a mobile suit powered by a GN Drive, and armed with a beam gun and beam saber. Subsequently, four second generation machines were developed with individual capabilities required for armed intervention, and their data served as a basis for the third generation machines, which included Exia and the other three Gundams deployed in the armed interventions. Specifically, Exia was developed from the GNY-001 Gundam Astraea, a general-purpose mobile suit with human-like movability that was used for testing various weapons, and the two machines have a number of similarities in terms of appearance. The Astraea's movability aspect is particularly appropriate for the Exia, which requires the same range of articulations as the human body due to its close combat specialization. Thus, while the Exia is armed mainly with melee weapons, its basic performance remains that of a general-purpose mobile suit. In fact, Exia is the only Gundam deployed for the armed intervention that has a body structure capable of range of articulations like the human body's, and the omission of such a structure in the other three Gundams is simply because they do not require it as their specialization is in other areas. To achieve its wide range of articulations, Exia has the most complex basic frame out of the four Gundams, its armor is also more minutely segmentalized as well. This armor design however causes some internal structures and the joints to be unprotected during certain poses, lowering Exia's defensive capability. On the other hand, this design does provides better mobility, giving Exia the best projectile evasion capability among the four Gundams. The Exia also has finer attitude control capabilities than the other Gundams, which is beneficial for close combat, and this is related to its GN Cables. The GN Cables, also known as “GN Power Lines”, are the light purple-colored cables running through various parts of the Exia's body and also one of its eye-catching visual features. While these cables are also found on other Gundams, the ones extending from the shoulders to the upper arms are unique to Exia. The cables facilitate the supply of tremendous amount of GN Particles, and thus energy, to each part of the Gundam instantaneously. They are also used for attitude control due to the GN Particles' mass reduction effect, and so, the Exia which has more cables on its exterior than the other Gundams is able to achieve finer control. In terms of defense however, such placements are dangerous, and later in GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II, the cables become mostly stowed in the armor. The GN Particles' mass reduction effect also lightens the Gundam, and can be used to alter the mass ratio of various body parts. Due to this latter ability, it is possible to freely control the machine's inertia and turning capabilities when in the air, and for Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) when in space. This also eliminates the need for the legs to "walk” when moving. As for the control of GN Particles, it is largely carried out by the two clavicle antennas on the Gundam's torso. A minor role is played by the third generation Gundams' head antenna, which is experimentally equipped with particle control functions. The head antenna also has communications and radar search functions, as well as the black box for quantum communication linkage with Veda (the Celestial Being's quantum computing system). The rest of the Gundams' humanoid head unit also contain systems responsible for controlling the entire body, much like a human's head. On a side note, the Exia's head is designed to look like the helmet of the pilot suit worn by the Gundam Meisters in AD 2307-2308 to express the belief of “Meister = Gundam”.While the GN Drive can produce GN Particles endlessly, even when the Gundams are inactive, there is a limit to the amount that could be instantaneously produced. Thus, continuous or heavy usage of beam weapons and other GN Particles consuming systems might cause the Gundams to run out of particles. To avoid this, the Gundams have GN Condensers in various body parts to store excess GN Particles. For maintenance purposes, the condensers can display the particles' compression rate and the amount stored. During mission, this display function is used for transmitting coded messages to allied units. On the matter of GN Drives, Celestial Being only created five units as that was deemed to be the minimum needed for armed interventions. The low number is not only due to difficulties in manufacturing the GN Drive, which requires Jupiter's high gravity environment, but also because having more GN Drives would increase the risk of them falling into the enemy's hands. The Gundam Exia is nicknamed “Gundam Seven Swords” as its development code was “Seven Swords”, and as indicated by this name, it is equipped with a total of seven blades to meet the needs of the moment during combat. Of these seven, the GN Sword, GN Long Blade, GN Short Blade are physical blades, while the rest are beam-based and consisted of two GN Beam Sabers and two GN Beam Daggers. The GN Sword serves as the primary weapon and due to its low energy consumption, the Exia has an advantage in prolonged combat, which mainly occurs when fighting ace pilots or when subjected to traps such as the three major bloc's joint military exercise. The three physical blades also serve as countermeasures against GN Field, a protective barrier made of GN Particles. In other words, Exia is also intended to fight against Gundam/GN Drive-equipped machine that is piloted by a betrayer or captured by the enemy and used against Celestial Being. Early on, an alternate configuration of the GN-005 Gundam Virtue also had an anti-betrayer role, but its design was dropped and this increased the responsibilities placed on Exia and its Gundam Meister.Other armaments include a GN Shield for defense that also provides protection to the internal structures and joints that might be exposed during movements. The GN Shield is usually in a compact size to maintain Exia's range of articulations, but can expand to increase the defensive area when needed. Similarly, the GN Sword, can fold its blade and has a Rifle Mode for ranged combat. The last of Exia's armament is another ranged weapon in the form of a pair of low-power GN Vulcans mounted in the forearms. During battles, the Exia gloriously sliced through its opponents in close combat, leaving a powerful impression on those who witnessed it and contributing greatly to the instillment of a "fear of Gundams" in the world. This was already anticipated by Celestial Being, and it is because of this that the organization's tactical forecaster, Sumeragi Lee Noriega, selected the Exia to intervene in the AEU-09 AEU Enact's presentation ceremony, which became the unveiling of the paramilitary organization. The Gundam Exia has an "Over Boost Mode" that temporarily boosts its GN Drive's performance and thus increase the mobile suit's capabilities. During an emergency, the Exia can activate a special "Trans-Am System" that enhances its thrust and defensive capabilities, as well as increase its output to three times that of its normal specifications for a limited period of time. This system also causes the Gundam to glow red, but it is a double-edged sword as Exia's performance will drop dramatically once it ends. A number of additional optional equipment was also developed for Exia, such as the high mobility Avalanche Unit and the GNR-001E GN Arms Type-E support machine. When equipped with the Avalanche Unit, the Exia becomes the GN-001/hs-A01 Gundam Avalanche Exia and can speed past specialized high-speed mobile suits, which it normally cannot do despite having remarkable mobility. When docked with the GN Arms Type-E, the Exia becomes the GN-001+GNR-001E GN Armor Type-E, obtaining better mobility, offensive and defensive capabilities.

MG 1/100 RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (OVA Ver.)
Bandai
$61.00The RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (ユニコーン ガンダム Yunikōn Gandamu?, or Unicorn, Unicorn Gundam 01, Singularity One) is the titular prototype mobile suit of the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel, its OVA adaptation and the television re-cut. Developed by Anaheim Electronics for the Earth Federation, it concealed a secret that could shake the future of all humanity, for it was the key to opening Laplace's Box. It is piloted by Banagher Links after the head of the Vist Foundation and his father, Cardeas Vist, entrusted it to him at the dawn of the Third Neo Zeon War in U.C. 0096.Produced as the final part of the E.F.S.F's reorganization plan, the "UC Project", the Unicorn Gundam is a revolutionary design meant to be the main symbol of the project's main goal: to destroy any traces of Zeonism in the Earth Sphere. Thus, not only does it feature a Gundam design, but it also incorporates an anti-Newtype system. Two prototype machines were completed at Anaheim Electronics' factory in Granada. However, when the Vist Foundation took control of the project, they installed a special "La+ Program" OS into the Gundam, turning it into a symbol of possibility by making it the key to finding Laplace's Box: the embodied hope of the Universal Century. Featuring the most advanced mobile suit technology of the time, its performance is unmatched.Incorporating test data from the experimental MSN-06S Sinanju Stein, the Unicorn Gundam's entire frame is built with Psycho-Frame material, drastically increasing the unit's responsiveness and allowing it to be piloted like an extension of the pilot's body. While mobile suits used during the Second Neo Zeon War implemented psycho-frame technology on a limited basis, the Unicorn is the first "full psycho-frame" mobile suit. In some cases, this responsiveness is so high that the machine appears to act on its own without any actions from the pilot. In addition, the Unicorn utilizes a special system known as the "NT-D" (or Newtype Destroyer) which activates the suit's psycho-frame and dramatically increases the suit's performance. In its normal form, the "Unicorn Mode", the Unicorn Gundam's head is similar in appearance to those of Londo Bell's mass-produced mobile suits, with the addition of a single, horn-like antenna on its forehead (which gives it the name "Unicorn"). Destroy Mode is the form when Unicorn Gundam's NT-D System is activated. The transformation is marked by an expansion of the suit's frame. The armor seams separate and lock down into various hard-points, while the newly exposed psycho-frame emits a pinkish-red or greenish (Awakened) glow (attributed to the Psycho-Field phenomenon). In this mode, the Unicorn becomes taller, reveal six more thrusters, and its head transforms to one with standard Gundam features, the visor and face guard retracts into the head to reveal the twin eyes and mouth plate, and the antenna splitting into a V-fin. To prevent its transformation being interrupted, the strength of its I-Field will be increased temporarily. Additionally, a pair of sub-sensors are revealed on the shoulders, and two concealed beam sabers extend out of the backpack. In Destroy Mode, the suit's psycho-frame scans the pilot's thoughts and directly transmits them to the suit's drive system; in other words, the Unicorn can be controlled by the pilot's thoughts alone. Additionally, the mode also causes the machine's performance - in thrust, generator output, and sensory radius - to be increased to unmeasurable levels. The NT-D also allows the Unicorn to take control of an enemy's psycommu weapons (also known as "Psycommu Jack") by emitting a Psycho-Field. However, the stress placed on the mind by manipulating an object more than tenfold the size of an average human is extraordinary. Even with the aid of the psycho-frame, the pilot's mind can only endure roughly five minutes of operation before a limiter is activated, deactivating the psycho-frame and returning the mobile suit to its Unicorn Mode. With the performance limiters disengaged, the Unicorn can accelerate up to 20 G's in Destroy Mode; to alleviate such high levels of G forces placed on the pilot, a drug administration system called the "DDS" is fitted on the pilot suit. It suppresses stagnated blood circulation due to high acceleration by administering the drug to the pilot. Furthermore, the DDS activates automatically upon the detection of another Newtype via the "Intention Automatic System".

MG 1/100 MSN-001A1 Delta Plus
Bandai
$55.00The MSN-001A1 Delta Plus (aka δ Plus) is a variant of the MSN-001 Delta Gundam which appears in the novel and OVA Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. It is piloted by Riddhe Marcenas. The Delta Plus is a prototype transformable mobile suit developed in U.C. 0090, which can serve as an all-purpose attack unit. It is based on the MSN-001 δ Gundam, a transformable mobile suit designed during the Gryps Conflict that, because of problems with insufficient frame strength, was completed as the non-transforming MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki. While Anaheim Electronics was trying various approaches to develop a production model of the transformable Zeta series, it also simultaneously conducted a reinvestigation of the shelved Delta plan, creating the Delta Plus as a result. The Delta Plus' main feature is its capability to reenter the atmosphere unassisted thanks to its ability to transform into a waverider mode. It is also capable of atmospheric flight under the influence of 1G because of its high thrust output and is also equipped with a Bio-sensor. Due to the Delta Plus being a non-standard prototype, only a limited number of these units were produced.
