The MBF-02 Strike Rouge is a mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It reappeared in the sequel series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. Its primary pilot is the Princess of Orb Cagalli Yula Athha. A mobile suit built using spare parts for the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam that were produced while it was repaired at Orb. Strike Rouge is almost an identical copy of the original Strike Gundam and features the same weaponry as well as the ability to use the Striker Packs. The most commonly used Striker Pack is the Aile Striker, other Striker Packs used by the suit include the Integrated Weapons Striker Pack (IWSP) and the Ootori Pack. The main differences between Strike Rouge and Strike is that the former is equipped with an AI support system and a power extender that increase the operational time, and is responsible for the red-shifting of the phase-shifted colors.

The MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame is a Mobile Suit in the Gundam SEED Astray series of manga, novel and photonovel. It is piloted by Junk Guild member Lowe Guele. The MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame is one of five identical prototype mobile suits developed by Orb using stolen data from the Earth Alliance's G Project. Its original concept was to be a MS that could be piloted by Naturals, and it was eventually loaded with an incomplete Natural-use OS. Most of the technology from the G Project is successfully copied with the exception of Phase Shift armor. In its place, the Gundam Astrays' designers made the machines out of a lighter foam metal compound, with minimal armor over the frame. This made the mobile suits lighter and faster than their G Project counterparts. All five prototype Gundam Astrays are also designed with a backpack that can be lowered to the back skirt armor, allowing the mounting of additional equipment on the back.The Red Frame initially had the same armament as the other prototype Gundam Astrays, consisting of two head-mounted "Igelstellung" 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, two backpack-mounted beam sabers for close combat, a Type 71 beam rifle and a physical shield. Red Frame's pilot, Lowe Guele, eventually acquired another armament - the "Gerbera Straight" katana. To wield this katana effectively, the Red Frame's OS was modified. Lowe also created a 150 meter long version of this sword, however it cannot be carried by the Red Frame in its normal configuration. Lowe also designed a set of upgrades for Red Frame, but they are used to repair Gai's damaged MBF-P03 Gundam Astray Blue Frame instead. When there is a need for flight capability, Red Frame can be fitted with the Flight Unit and when it needs to dive underwater, it can use the Salvage Unit. After his return from Mars, Lowe developed the Caletvwlch and the Ddraig Head. The former is a multifunctional handheld equipment, while the latter is a special head unit designed to complement the former.Like other mobile suits that use beam weapons, the Red Frame is equipped with hand plugs to exchange energy with weapons the suit carries. Although considered a misuse of the system, the energy from the hand plug can be manipulated into an energy ball and discharged. This is often used by Lowe as an emergency weapon, for example to temporarily blind enemies. The mysterious organization, Librarian Works, later created a copy of the Red Frame. Known as Replica Red Frame, it has the same capabilities as the real Red Frame.

The MS-06F Zaku II is one of many variants of the MS-06 Zaku II series and was introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam television series. The MS-06F Zaku II was the Principality of Zeon's mainstay mobile suit during the One Year War. Compared to the MS-06C Zaku II Early Production Type, the MS-06F removed the heavy anti-nuclear protections, reducing its armor weight and improving its mobility. It was also refitted with a more powerful generator: the MYFG-M-ES series fusion reactor, jointly developed by Zeonic and M&Y Company. Otherwise, it was not significantly different from its predecessors, the MS-06A and the MS-06C. There existed subtle differences among the F-Type, depending on the time of manufacture and the originating factory. Prior to the introduction of the MS-06S Zaku II Commander Type, MS-06F piloted by squadron leaders were equipped with a head-mounted blade antenna.The MS-06F could run at a speed of 85 km/h, leap 100m into the air with the use of its thrusters, and lift around 80-90t of weight with one hand. Its thrusters had a thrust of 45 tons. Though its punch had a force of 560t, doing so risked severely damaging its manipulators. Instead it more frequently used the spike armor on its left shoulder for shoulder tackle, which had a force of 4,500t. The cost of a MS-06F was equivalent to that of five Type 61 Tanks, or 1,500 civilian automobiles from the year U.C. 0078 (each costing 30% of a salaryman's average annual salary).

MS-06S Char's Zaku II is a mobile suit featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga and its OVA adaptation. It was piloted by Char Aznable during the One Year War. Char's MS-06S Zaku II is a customized version of the standard MS-06S Zaku II Commander Type (an overall improved MS-06F Zaku II) painted in his personal red colors. Being a commander's unit, a horn-like decoration was also attached to its head. Despite the high risks, Char personally ordered the removal of its limiters, allowing it to use its thrusters to the maximum limit. The hit-and-run tactics enabled by the resulting high thrust, and the impression its distinctive colors made on the battlefield, led to Char's nick name, "Red Comet". After the Clash of Loum, Vice Admiral Dozle secretly ordered Char to command the Falmer, a custom Musai-class battleship, and unit emblems and victory markings were applied to his MS-06S. These included bright white lines indicating it as the commander's unit, the unit number "A12" and emblems of the Falmer.

The RX-178 Gundam Mk-II is a mobile suit introduced in the anime series Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. It is a successor of the famous RX-78-2 Gundam that served in the One Year War. A direct descendant of the RX-78-2 Gundam developed by the Titans, the Gundam Mk-II is the first mobile suit to utilize the new movable frame concept. In this new concept, rather than merely serving as a structural framework, the movable frame incorporates all the mobile suit's vital mechanisms, including the actuators and control systems required for movement, and excludes the mobile suit's weapons, armor, and propellant tanks. This approach dramatically improves the mobile suit's responsiveness, reliability, and energy efficiency, as well as making it far more agile than traditional designs.Another characteristic of the Gundam Mk-II is that some of its legs' movable parts are exposed and this design feature is based on the prevailing idea at that time that avoiding being hit by the enemy is the preferable choice. The origin for this idea is because no existing armor can fully protect against beam weaponry, thus it is better to increase the mobile suit's mobility by weight reduction rather than equip more armor which would lead to a higher weight and lower mobility.The mobile suit also has what had become the standard 360-degree panoramic screen and linear seat fitted in a circular cockpit that also functions as an escape pod. The multiple panels of the panoramic screen make up a single 360-degree display, covering the entire inner surface of the cockpit. The image displayed on this screen is a computer simulation constructed from the cameras distributed around the mobile suit's exterior. The viewpoint is that of the mobile suit's head, and the image is carefully edited to remove the mobile suit itself. The linear seat is suspended in the center of the cockpit, supported by a linear arm which electromagnetically counters G-forces and impact shocks in order to protect the pilot. Together, the panoramic screen and the linear seat gives the pilot a larger field of view and eliminates blind spots.The most notable flaw of the Gundam Mk-II is that it is armored using the obsolete titanium alloy ceramic composite. Another flaw is that the movable frame's leg sections have rigidity issues associated with the strength of the structural material used, and this problem persisted even after six design revisions. Despite this, for a brief time period, the Gundam Mk-II's movable frame makes it one of the most agile mobile suits available. Three Gundam Mk-II were produced in total. They were later stolen by the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) and given a new paint scheme. Despite being used by two different factions, the Gundam Mk-II's weaponry remains mostly unchanged. Its only fixed weapons are two beam sabers, but it can carry a vulcan pod, a shield, a beam rifle, a hyper bazooka and a clay bazooka if necessary.

The RX-0[N] Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Norn (aka Banshee Norn) is an upgraded variant of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee that appears in the OVA version of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn. The unit is piloted by Riddhe Marcenas. The Banshee Norn is an upgraded version of the Banshee with improved performance, assigned to Londo Bell pilot Riddhe Marcenas. The XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero (ウイングガンダムゼロ EW Uingu Gandamu Zero?) (aka Wing Zero) is a mobile suit that appears in the OVA/movie Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz and the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers. Wing Zero was based on the Zero Frame technology developed by the five Gundam Scientists, which was an inner frame with all the necessary components for the mobile suit to operate, completely separate from the armor platings and energy conduits for weapons. The performance of the frame itself surpasses that of the OZ-00MS Tallgeese, and the complete separation of armor and internal structure allows Wing Zero to continue fighting after losing up to 90% of its armor.In the Glory of the Losers manga, Wing Zero is developed from the wreckage of the destroyed Wing Gundam Proto Zero, and upgraded with wing binders from the OZ-00MS Tallgeese Flugel. A mobile suit tuned to meet Kira Yamato's needs, the Strike Freedom has Variable Phase Shift armor, and like its predecessor, ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam, is primarily armed with powerful ranged weapons. Its armaments include head-mounted CIWS, an abdomen-mounted multi-phase beam cannon, hip-mounted railguns, combine-able beam sabers and beam rifles, DRAGOON pods controlled by the new Super DRAGOON system and beam shields. It is powered by the new Hyper-Deuterion Engine, and is also equipped with the Neutron Jammer Canceller and the Voiture Lumiere propulsion system.Due to Kira's stellar piloting, his mobile suit is rarely hit during combat and thus Strike Freedom's design emphasizes maneuverability over its armor's defensive capabilities, though beam shields were installed as a compensatory defensive measure. As a result, its armor is split into smaller pieces to improve the movement range of the joints (a similar armor-splitting system was also implemented in ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam). To compensate for exposing more of its internal parts, the suit's internal skeleton and joints adopted PS armor materials. When these parts phase-shift, they gain strength and near human flexibility. Additionally, excess residual energy within the body can be discharged through the joints' glowing effects.The internal PS armor materials also help to withstand the massive output and Gs caused by the Hyper Deuterion engine and the new propulsion system, playing a role in increasing Strike Freedom's mobility. However, the main contributor to the MS's superior mobility are the mobile weapon wings, which can be deployed in the "High Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT)" Mode to enhance the suit's mobility in the atmosphere or in space. The wings also features a variant of the "Voiture Lumiere" propulsion system, which can generate a visual effect called the "Wings of the Skies" similar to ZGMF-X42S Destiny's Wings of Light and is used as a means of high speed movement.The Strike Freedom's Super DRAGOONs are based on ZAFT's second generation DRAGOON system, with additional unique modifications. Designed for Kira's use, they allow him to hit more targets at once using the Multi Lock-On System and Full Burst Mode as compared to when he was piloting the original Freedom. They also grant Kira the ability to hit the enemy from multiple directions remotely.
